It depends mostly on what coil build I have inside... it's always possible to adjust both the airflow and the draw strength, to be in accordance with the wattage used and in order to determine how cool/warm/hot the vapor that results is going to feel like, but every atomizer (and every vaper also in addition to that) has its/his/her own unique set of limitations as for how comfortable/satisfying the vape feels. This 'feel' of the vape also shapes human perception of flavor, which is a whole world filled with subjective experiences that one can decide to want to explore. Or not want to explore. So I concur that checking different builds (that is, checking different atomizer/build combinations by using them with different airflow settings and different draw strengths as well as different durations of your draw, in cohort with different wattage settings) is the way to go.
That said, usually I'm at ~120 watts on a single battery tube mech mod using a set of two handbuilt alien coils (Ni80, 27/36, 4.5 wraps, 2.5mm ID) with a 24mm or 25mm dual coil RDA, or occasionally with the Reload RTA. Anything too far below 90 watts starts to feel like trying to get a taste by licking crumbs... there's just no 'oomph' in that at all. Typically everyone always talks about getting MORE flavor. I get THE MOST flavor from drinking e-liquid. THE BEST flavor I get from finetuning the various parameters with advanced coil builds in a suitable RBA.
