What's the deal with DripTanks.
Why make the switch ?

Way too labor intensive for me.
Because it's there
Try a good one and you'll have your own reasons.
I haven't tried a true RDTA yet (some folks refer to the Boreas as an RDTA, but Roxy said it isn't).
Augvape is supposedly about to release one, so I will probably try that when it comes out, just because I really like Augvape RTAs, so I will try their RDTA
FLAVOR CITY! That's why. But really Its all just personal choice.
I have one, the azatoth. It's ok, nothing to write home about. I much prefer my RDA's over anything else.
I did have the Limitless Plus, wasn't impressed with the flavor and actually ended up Vaping it forward. I then got the VGod Trick Tank Pro, with the bottom airflow I love it. The flavor is outstanding and with not having to drip no leaking since I'm not having to drip on it.
Why are they popular? Simple, best of both worlds. Flavor of an RDA with the convenience of a tank.
That's why I squonk and haven't jumped on the RDTA bandwagon
Supposedly RDTAs give you the flavor of an RDA with the convenience of an RTA
I don't know how much better, have yet to acquire an RDTA
Drip tanks give you far more building and wicking options. You don't have to take your juice holes into account because the entire deck is a juice hole. Also, They have more air flow options and shape determines if the RDA is better for clouds or flavor. Example, a taller rda is good for clouds, shorter for flavor, and short with a bell or concave top is a flavor beast. This is why the Cloud Beast TFV8 can't touch a MutationX V4 for clouds. (for example) You can run coils at high watts that would cook the Flavor Beast to a crisp.
I'm intrigued by the Skyhook thingy. Not enough to buy one mind you.....
Yeah, there are several nice looking RDTAs that have hit the market since last spring.
If Augvape's Merlin RDTA hits the market here I will definitely get at least one of those, as the Merlin is my RTA for on-the-job.
I can only afford to go over-the-top on one vape thing right now, so squonking it is
Where are you in AK? I got people in the bush outside McCarthy...
Valdez - about 150 road miles to McCarthy. Been there many a-time.
Used to spend a lot of time in Chitina
I've thought about a squonker but not many options and most all the decent squonkers are expensive single battery. I still might get one one of these days if I do find one that tweaks my interest.
Been to Valdez a bunch. Shoestring relatives there too. Worked for Crowley Tugs.
Crowley lost the SERVS contract to some scab outfit and will be exiting Valdez I guess
What do you do for Crowley?
No, not me, my shoestring relative. Dick Biebeau. He worked for Crowley.
What for Sonar, when he puts out a batch.19 Wood Mods For Sale Various Types Squonkers and Non
I just got a series from him for only $70 - and it is a thing a beauty
As for atties, there has been a recent explosion of bf atties hitting the market the past few months
Yep same here. convenience of tank and RDA.
Wow, someone in Valdez I don't know
how about the iron maiden? lol i'm not using it as a recommendation just seeing if you got one yet
Yeah I have two and really like them.
the ceramic is not a gimmick at all. it really cools down the vape and gives a nice flavor
Yep, the flavor on this is very nice.
I have no desire to have a driptank.
But by all means enjoy yours to the fullest.
It is nice to not be a seeker for a while.
One of these days, some ingenious idiot, is going to come up with a tank base that fits your favorite dripper bodies. You want flavor? Use your Tsunami cap, you want clouds? Use your mutationX cap.. etc etc..
