Wick turning brown?

I found during a day of vaping when I switch out my cotton I can see the cotton is brown/slightly burnt where coil touches the wick. Is this normal?

It's kinda normal, especially depending on the juice. DARK and burnt looking, you want to try a little less cotton.

Especially at higher wattages.
