So I have seen wicking for the Subtank mini done a few different ways. One way is kayfun style with the wicks resting on the deck just aove the juice channels. Another way is just tucking the cotton down so it is pretty much level with the coil and the top of the chimney base. I am currently doing it kayfun style. Is there any benefit to doing it the other way??? Ths is the version 1 of the rebuildable. Not the new one with the holes on the sides.

I wick mine extremely chunky, but I cut the wicks so they are barely touching the deck. Seems to work well for me, but ymmv!

I could never get the RBA to wick properly, so I drilled a 1/16" hole through the middle of the barrel, directly above each juice channel, high enough not to interfere with the threads. This was the only way I could find to make that RBA work.
