Does anyone own this mod? I couldn't find much reviews of this.
Here is the pic
If the price is right. The new DNA 250C chips and mods are starting to be released.
I’ll ignore if I were you!
I ️ BAM
Did they fix the wonky 510 connector? I swore off buying Wismec products because of that.

Thanks guys. That's what I thought after posting here. Wait for 250C
Pre-sale of Paranormal 250C is on in few sites. But I think I will wait till it comes out and see the pros and cons.... If someone interested in buying on pre-sale below are the few links.
Offer on Vaprsourcing is very attractive but their reputation puts me off in buying from them. Its available in FT and Urvapin as well. Expected to come to market towards end of April.
Its available at $75 in Vaprsourcing. Very good price.
What wonky connector? i have a RX200, DNA200, RX200S, Cuboid, Cuboid Mini, RX300, and a Pico. Not one of them, (getting close to 3 years on the RX200) has a 510 problem.
They did had 510 issues....wobling, connectors popping out and no atomizer/atomizer short issues... Not sure if they have fixed it
It depends on the atomizer you put in. If the 510 on the tank is long, the pin stays depressed and can't make proper contact with other tanks anymore. My Cuboid 150 fell prey to this problem. My Releaux DNA didn't.
With the Wismec Predator, the pressfit was substandard and the 510 connector sometimes becomes loose. I've haven't had any problems with my Predator but I've decided then to stop buying Wismec products because of this issue.
The 510 in my predator came out the first time it fell over with a tank on it, I had to epoxy it back in.
None of my other Wismec mods have any problems.
I've used more attys in mine than I can recall. Including ones with long 510s (like Smok) the reason the pin might stick is lack of cleaning. a drop of vodka will loosen it right up. ( effective in loosening other female receptacles too) The 510 coming out entirely, is not the connectors fault, it is because the mod is a bad design, using a press fit. None of the Realeaux mods are press fitted.
Everybody parrots the 510 thing as if repeating it somehow makes it fact. Not only have none if my mods listed above never had a 510 issue, but I have never seen a Wisemec with a 510 that's only problem was not just that it was filthy, and that was easily fixed with cleaning.
Now the paint is certainly crap, but so is the paint on most Chinese made mods.
FT has made the pre-sale price of Paranormal 250C as $118.95
Not being a dick, but that's a huge yet. Take it from someone who had a 1st Gen NC, and also there first mech.. thought they were a good company but boy things change.
I baby every mod I have. If you only use wismec tanks and such your gonna be alright.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. People always say how shitty 510 pins are on Wismec mods. Looking at pictures, it looks like the Realuex's connector is like a Battlestar connector. I've asked a few times "What exactly is so bad about their 510s?" I've even pointed out the similarity (w/Battlestar) but never got a clarification.
What the major difference is, is that on Wismec mods, the insulator, fits the center pin very closely. Even the wire for the centerpin exits the 510 through a very tight hole on the underside of the 510. The center pin itself, is actually square. This is to prevent the center pin from rotating, as an atty is screwed into the connector. If the pin rotated axially, the wire would rotate, and eventually the wire would succumb to metal fatigue. That's why, it can be prone to binding, if not cleaned.
The entire design is intended to prevent juice from pouring through the connector, then into the mod. It does a pretty good job of that.
Shortly after the RX200, there were people on several forums, claiming that the 510 was made of brass, and that they would wear out quickly because of that. All bullshit They were SS not brass, but that was the first time I ever heard about the "crappy" 510. I have no idea why it was so important to slam the 510.
I posted pics here of a RX 510 removed from the mod, even the 510 out of the mod, with a Smok TFV4 screwed into it as tight as I could, no problem ith the connecter at all. Will try to find those pics.
With the TFV4 fully threaded
From a while back.
The design of the Wismec 510 needs to be looked at from an engineering perspective. The 510 is sealed, and has a square spring loaded pin, surrounded by what I think is a polybutyl grommet/spacer/gasket insulator.
Because design dictates that the tank sits atop the mod, and the 510 is the lowest point, any juice spillage will gravitate to the 510. I've seen many dead mods, where the board was drenched in juice one too many times. Never on a Wismec.
The reason people THINK the 510 is crap, is because over time, the juice congeals, and the center pin of the 510 begins to bind against the polybutyl grommet/spacer/gasket. This will definitely affect the connection, causing the problems that people report of the 510. More so in TC mode, where consistent connection is essential.
The cure? Vodka. Not isopropyl alcohol. The isopropyl degrades the poly butyl grommet/spacer/gasket, and causes it to bind even more. Vodka does not.
From what I see, Wismec's design philosophy is that the 510 will fail before the board. With a high power board, with dual power converters, I have seen evidence of fire from juice saturated boards. Wismec, has chosen what I consider by far the lesser of the 2 evils.
I have 2 spare Wismec 510s, and have needed neither. One, I've torture tested by threading, and seriously torquing a TFV4 into it. Over and over and over. I have not been able to make it fail.
On another forum, I had this discussion with the English fellow who created the original design files for the Fat Daddy 510, and he was very sceptical until he researched the ethyl alcohol VS isopropyl issue, and changed his opinion.
If your Wismec 510 connection becomes erratic, some vodka and a Q-tip is all you need to make it work perfectly again.

They fixed it with the gen 3
Welcome to VU!
I'm curious, what exactly was it in the Gen3 they changed? Are the rumors that the metallurgical composition of the center pin now includes a semi-solid Unobtainium alloy true?
All I know, people stopped complaining and I can personally speak for myself, I have two with zero 510 issues.
I just picked one up. It’s $77 bucks! ($2 for US warehouse) Got it in 3 days. You can’t beat the price!

I just got one a few weeks ago. They were selling them cheap on vapesourcing, for $75. Probably unloading them since the new 250Cs we’re coming out. I jumped on it since it’s still a DNA mod and that’s dirt cheap. They were $169 when they came out a year ago.
Now that I’ve had it for a couple of weeks I can tell you that I haven’t noticed any 510 problem. It’s worked flawlessly for me. I do like the bronze finish on them, they feel nice and sturdy. Kind of sets it apart for all my other mods. My only complaint is it would be nice if the fire button had a little more resistance to it. I prefer ones that you gotta really press down to fire, it makes them much more pocket friendly. That’s really not the Reuleaux’s fault since the switch is integral to the DNA chip.
If you were to ask me is it worth it to get it for the price I would say absolutely. The color screen isn’t worth nearly twice as much too me. The color screens on the 250Cs are still quite small. I buy things mainly for functionality and the old 250 chip is a stellar performer. You really have never experienced temp control vaping quite like it. I personally like temp control with a dropper. You can keep hitting it til the cotton goes dry and never get a burnt hit.
I think the main advantage for the 250C is the menus are easier to operate. If that’s worth we’ll over $100 to get to you then get the new one. If not the Reuleax is a great mod.

I just ordered one from vapesourcing as they are $280 here in Australia so I'm hoping that for $100 including postage it's worth it, I'm an sx mini fan so wanted to try a dna chip.
Hopefully I wont be dissapointed
If anybody is interested I have the Limited Edition DNA200 for sale. Not 250 but it works great. Message me for details
