My question to you is, when did you realize you wouldn't go back to analogs? I'll start as I actually had three experiences.
1. My 49 year old sister in law passed away unexpectedly in March, I had only been vaping a couple of weeks so I did have some cigarettes in the car and I was definitely a stress smoker, chain smoking when stressed. My husbands ex wife shows up at the funeral home, knowing my sister in law couldn't stand her, pretending to be a grieving family member, even though she had no contact for years with the majority of this family. I was stressed tried to smoke, my husband laughed and said you will never make it... I was like oh yes I will well three or four puffs and it went out.
2. My cousin is going thru a divorce and she chain smoked while we drove around one night just to get her out and let her vent, I realized it didn't tempt me at all!
3. I am supposed to be leaving on vacation in 3 hours, find out my reservations are messed up and I only have two nights reserved now in MYRTLE BEACH,A ND THEY CANT FIX IT, this time I managed one puff it disgusted me and I cried into my MVP 2 while I vaped my disappointment away. This time I know I won't even try again!

That's awesome! But it reminds me of something a wise person told me once: once you're a smoker, you'll never again be a non-smoker. We'll only ever be EX-smokers. It's in our blood and we got to keep that at bay. Sounds like you're doing fantastic though. Vape on!

When my wife gives me disapproving looks when I go outside to vape, but she (almost) proudly tells others how I don't stink any more.
When I realize how much $$$ I'm NOT spending on analogs compared to juice.
When I realize how much more fun it is to buy vape toys/gadgets as opposed to ... well ... cigs
When I realize that I can ...

... ok, skip that last one

Never. I had a pretty easy time after a few days. Never desired a cigarette except for taxes a couple weeks later.
Was having gastro problems (pertinence explained as the story goes). Went to 0mg figuring I had cancer while I waited to diagnosed. No desire for cigarettes those 4 months. Got diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Smoking helps UC. Nicotine helps when used along with a drug. Add nicotine back, go on the drugs which I guess remove inflammation which causes pain until healed. Still no desire to smoke.
After about 2 years of not smoking and using 18mg I get put on a different form of the same drug designed to reach a different area. The usual pain as last time and OMG did I ever want a cigarette. It was like my first day without. I just had to freight train through it.

I've had plenty of quits that ended suddenly after months or years. Now I know why.
So nope, I can't guarantee that some day I won't have such a strong need that I can't resist. Hopefully it will be short lived if I do smoke and I dual use and then go back to vaping.

I did just spend 7 hours in the ER and had no desires for nicotine while there so I don't think addiction is the issue (I am still paying for that lack of nicotine that lasted for days because I couldn't inhale).

I started vaping on april 29th 2011 the day my liberty flights Riva kit showed up with 10 ce2 clero's. That was the last day I had a cig. The day I truly knew I was done with smokes for good was Thanksgiving of that same year when I went to my grandparents and got out of my car and could smell the cig stink as soon as I opened my truck door. Nobody was even outside but man I could smell it bad and I had that "did I used to smell that bad" moment. Went in the house and those that smoked just fucking reeked to the point of nausea.

That was the day when it really hit me that even if ecigs faded out and did not do it for me I was not going to go back to smoking. The health aspect should be enough of a deterrent but something about that old smoke on clothes smell just really sealed the deal for me. I went on dates back then with non smokers who claimed me smoking was not an issue but fuck I feel bad for them having to sit through that. Really makes me wonder just how many failed relationships were a result of my smoking back then because I couldnt date someone that reeked like that.

Been vaping for about five Yeats now. When I was about 8 months in I asked a friend to give me a cigarette. I was just curious to see if I would like it. After
taking 2 drags I just about passed out and I felt like I could vomit. I remember thinking at that moment that I'll never smoke again and that this feeling isn't the nicotine but the other 2000+ chemicals in the cigarette. Now it's like I've become allergic to cigarette smoke. I can't stand the smell and if I'm exposed to enough second hand smoke it makes me sick. Thank God for vaping.

Every vape is a cig I didn't take!
So far, It's been 5 years without! However, if I loose the ability to vape, you better believe it would be the worst 20 minutes of my life to get to a store and buy a pack of cigs again! No, I currently do not have ANY urge to smoke combustables, and I currently can't stand the smell of smoke (even though I work in a Natiive American casino where smoking is allowed). But I DO have the urge for nicotine and will find an outlet whatever the circumstance. All I can say is that I agree STRONGLY with @Kevin2112 when he states, "Thank GOD for vaping!"

When I walk into a store and there are people smoking right outside the door and I hold my breath as I walk in.

When I chuckle to myself when I see people buying a $7 pack of cigarettes.

When I am vaping at work someone asks for a light and I can proudly say I don't smoke.

Thanks everyone, I agree I had those oh my God did I smell like that moments. For me it is more the inhale and exhale I need. I have nerve damage that started in my right foot, has moved up my leg and into my back. I have been diagnosed with RSD, and wear a fentynal patch for the pain, when it's at its worst smoking always relaxed me. So vaping gives me that. When I admitted to my husband I had tried to smoke, he said I guess that's why after the funeral I never threw away that pack of smokes in my truck, if you needed a reminder I felt like go ahead I know she won't be able to smoke, LOL.

I luckily haven't had a fall back was close twice but both times restricted myself. Being a DJ and spending twice a week in the bar doing Karaoke, I get what I call a "smoke-over" the next morning I am coughing, my head hurts, sinus and throat is flared up. I know without doubt that I will not go back to a analogs.

I tried a normal cigarette about 2 weeks after i was vaping solely. Took one drag and it was kind of nasty, took a second drag and started dry heaving. It was a good feeling to know even if i want to go back i couldnt

When I bought my 21st device, I figured I'd reached vaping age.

For me it was realizing I didn't need to carry a lighter anymore. Disliking cigarette smoke & standing up wind of it. Separating drinking & smoking, which is a hard task for most people.

I realized I was completely hooked on vaping when I was heading out to the post office (ten minutes away) and, before I left, went back inside to get a backup battery and tank for my BACKUP gear. o_O
Ya know... just in case...

Ok... so my first post wasn't technically when I realized I was a non-smoker.
I guess that was the first time I had sex and didn't even think about reaching for a cigarette afterwards...

I realized that I was no longer a smoker when I lost the urge to reach for a cigarette with morning coffee, after each meal, and with a glass of wine.

When I was finally able to not have those morning cigs and right before bed cigs. For a year I had to have a few in morning and a few before bed even though vaped all day. I can't stand the taste or smell of cigs any more. I gotta admit, though, if I suddenly had no eliquid or burned up my last coil and the local shops were closed, I'd be digging out that 1/2 pack of cigs that I still have buried in the freezer even though it's been 5 years now.

I realized i'd never smoke another cigarette right after unboxing and putting together my first 510 kit. I took a hit of some generic Chinese RY4 (or maybe it was cola?), realized instantly that it did the trick really nicely, and got all amped up over how fucking cyberpunk it all was. Especially with the blue LED i was rockin' at the time. I felt like i was in a goddamn William Gibson novel or something.

I'm serious, it took minutes at the most. Maybe i was lucky or maybe i was just super gung-ho and psyched about finally quitting smoking after 23 years.

I will admit that at first i used to occasionally take a couple of drags off a cigarette here and there, but only out of curiosity (was surprised to learn just how much i hated it!) - and once, very early on, i found myself on a brief road trip with no joules so i bought a pack of smokes. But not a thing since then.

The day I came to work with a newly purchased MVP, and an iClear 30 along with some juice called 'Grandma's cookies' (tastes like Mother's iced oatmeal which I love). Feb 18,2014.
I carried around a open pack of smokes, and a BIC lighter that day but vaped instead of smoking at my breaks.
When it was time to go home I gave away what was left in the pack, and my lighter (Yes, I was that sure that I gave away my source of fire that day).
Not a puff off an analog since.
I do have an unopened pack of smokes in the shop as a reminder of my triumph.
No urge to unwrap the plastic on them though, and certainly no urge to inhale one.
I like flipping the bird at that pack when I pass it :D.
