You should get a pair of ceramic tweezers

You should use them to pinch your coils. They are nice and non-conductive.
You should get a pair with needle points for fine work
You shouldn't keep them resting on the twisted wire you just made
You shouldn't try to pick up said wire, lifting the points of the tweezers
You shouldn't then put your hand down to also grab a screwdriver, impaling your poor, helpless palm on the ceramic tweezers.

Learn from me.

I don't recommend the needle point tweezers, not just because of the danger of injury, but the tips can break easily when pinching the coil. I'd rather use the round pointed one.

Man! Sorry to hear about your hand! Dang. Hope it wasn't your mod holding hand :D
I have both pointed and blunt ceramic tweezers. I use the blunt for coils and the pointed for messin around with cotton and such. I like tools so I don't consider them overkill.

I've heard someone utter the phrase "too many tools" once, but I'm fairly convinced they were a mental patient. They had to be some sort of crazy, because those words don't even make sense together.

Now that I think about it, it may have been my wife that said it...

If you're not winning, you're compromising. If you're compromising, you're losing.

I "compromised" in that I agreed to keep my tools in one room with a door that has no one else's things in it.

It's hard sometimes, but I manage.

This is why garages were invented. I love you, but no wifes allowed!

Garages, sheds, storage units with a good power supply.
And I wouldn't say that's a compromise so much as aquiescing to keep the peace. Tools are a necessity.

Yeah, I have a detached garage with a fridge, stereo system, work bench, three tool towers worth of stuff, and a Weber gas grill. I worked long and hard to make the environment busy enough to ward off the dreaded storage wars. It's all "my stuff" and it feels great!:D

My garage is my haven... Ordered a couple testing benches from Benchpro.com and they serve as my vape station, place to work on firearms, read, etc etc...

I love my garage lol... Being in SoCal makes it easy... Same temp in there all year....

I am in nor cal so the temp is pretty good year round as well, but I can barley move with my muscle car in there.
