Water as pg substitute ? Is this true ?

Either distilled, or reverse-osmosis purified. But Pg really isn't a good substitute for PG; its boiling/vaporization temps are quite different, and the viscosity is wrong too; PG is thin, but not quite as thin as water.

When I tried using water to thin VG, I found that it caused a lot of unpleasant popping.

Yes distilled, cheap like a buck or so in the grocery section.
not more than 1%.. not really booster but a thinning agent allowing better mixing.

Yes... unless you wanna inhale calcium and chlorine and I would suggest distilled.

True, using too much will thin it out too much and you'll have major leaking issues. Some people only use the amount of PG that their flavorings contain, too.

I know for sure there is fluoride in mine also
YA flouride is horrible in and of itself. But some are lax as hell in their qc.
I know ours here when it is rainy smells like pool water.

I know Milwaukee had serious issues with norovirus, Detoilet lead... neither of which I want in my lungs.

Oh ours is tasty also... if you like pool smelling and tasting water.
We filter it.

The first expensive thing we bought for our house after buying the house, was a whole-house filtration system... plus an extra level of reverse-osmosis for a tap at our kitchen sink. I think the value of it only increases, as infrastructure ages and the water gets more and more polluted.

Better off just using PG to thin as it carries flavors much better than water.
If your not allergic to PG, that is.
Otherwise the Distilled is the best IMO.

Any of y'all ever try PEG 400? (polyethylene glycol). I tried it once; thought it had a very odd taste, somewhere in the neighborhood of dill; it reminded me of pickles!:eek:
