Which new mod would you buy?

If you had a choice between these two, which mod would you buy, and why?
A. Wismec Presa 100W running on one 26650 battery,
B. Aspire Plato 75W running on one 18650 battery.
I have several mods but the flood of new toys got me itching to buy just one more....for now.

The wismec, no doubt about it.im not fan of the all in one mods. Its also an excuse to start getting 26650s

I just picked up the Wismec RX200. It's a lot smaller and compact than it appears online. It has 3 18650....I love it!

Wismec without a second thought.

Are you happy to see me, or is that a Wismec RX200 in your pocket? I bought the RX200 a few months ago, but let's face it, it is not something to just put in your pocket and carry around. I really, really like it and I also like the vaporflask v1, the Presa 75w, evic mini, IPV D2, but what I'm diggin' now is the Smok Treebox 75W TC. The Mini Volts (2 of them) are great for out and about and make great stealth set-ups with either Pico or Kabuki on top, but the battery life is on the shot side of practical.

@f1r3b1rd I tend to agree with you about the all-in-one set-ups, I seems to be kind of nice but it is also limiting you options. Maybe the Presa 100 is a better buy. I have the Presa 75w and I like it, the 100W would mean longer battery life for me, and like you said, I get to buy 26650's!!!

I have a kanger tech subox mini. Running single 24awg coil ohming at .7. I'm hovering around 40-42 watts. I'm thinking of getting a mod with 100-200w and running higher ohms. Does that sound like something that will give me more room to mess around with settings and the like. I also have a tugboat unregulated that I run at .25 ohms. Nice vape, but not an all day at work kind of set up. First post, please be kind. :)

You should probably start your own thread instead of taking over @Brewbear's. I'm not trying to be a dick, I understand you are new but you are more likely to get better answers that way. Welcome to VU.

Welcome to the Mad House!!! We're all crazy about vaping....at least I am! When you say you want to run higher ohms on a 100-200w box, do you mean running a 1.0 ohm coil or above? The higher the coil resistance, the lower the wattage you need. The lower the coil resistance, the more watts you'll need. For a very affordable 200w box, look at the Wismec RX200

Thank you @skt239 , I don't mind him asking, but your suggestion is valid, he will get more answers that way.

Right on, thanks for the info. Sorry about jacking your post, don't know how to navigate this place to well. :) I have been doing the sub ohm thing since I started vaping. Looking to try some thing up above 1.0, just to see what it's like.

Why is that?
thinner wire, to get above 1 ohm with 24 or 22 g is going to be a coil to wide to fit in a build deck. Thin wire cant handle the power to make a real lung hit without popping the legs.

before you marry yourself to the presa, what about the flawless 100 or the beyond vape centurion?

The flawless 100 looks like the Stout and the Centurion looks like a prop from Star Trek! So, maybe Presa and I will divorce, but I'd like to actually go on a date with one of the other two contenders since they are more than double in price! I have the Presa 75W and although it took a couple of hours getting used to the rather unusual shape, I'm getting to like it, it wasn't love at first site!

I don't know how true this, but I've read around that its a similar chip t what is in the rx. Its a wismec/joyetech product, so pretty sure it would be pretty good.

Any idea of the chip in the Smok Treebox? It seems to run temp. protect with a NiChrome 80 coil!

N0, I don't I'm sorry
both are proprietary chips, that's about the extent of my knowledge there.

I seem to remember reading something like that too!

Here's something interesting : "The Vapor Forward Vapor Flask Stout has an MSRP of $90 and I expect the Centurion to be available for less. Wismec has had great success with this chip in its Reuleaux RX200. The same chip is used in the Vapor Flask models Wismec has made for Vape Forward."

The Flawless and I are parting ways, it is not upgradeable (according to Mike Vape's review) but the Centurion is still in the running. If I could only see one in person!!!

the centurian, will probably be cheaper than the flawless. Beyond vape normally puts the pricier items under the aria built brand.

I just looked around and they're both around $80-90. The "ex-wife" Presa 100w is about $40.

I don't know nor understand why you ask about 2 choices and people answer with the third, forth, fifth, etc.
I'll go with the trend by saying anything that has a DNA200 chip in it. But out of the 2 choices you gave? Probably none, A. is because 26650 battery and B. is because wattage too low.

Choice 3 & 4 9Flawless and Centurion) are valid since they are different flavors of the Presa 100w ( Centurion is made by the same company as Presa).
The wattage being too low is a personal choice, you don't need GigaWatt power for a very good vape, at least I don't but maybe you do, to each his own.

The reason for my response was because I had ruled out the Wismec RX200 because it seemed too large in all the reviews. Wheen I visited a B&M I found it was smaller and much more compact. The only downside to me is weight. I ordered a silicone case for it and may purchase another at some point. Right now I'm just using it at home with the TFV4 I have. It fits in my shirt pocket just fine. With that said I was looking for the mah so I don't need to constantly recharge while out. I simply Refill the tank and keep on vaping. Right now I have two istick 50w that I take out and about with me. I am still a wattage mode guy and not interested... At least right now...in doing temp control vaping.

@FlavoVape I get what you're saying but carry that sucker in your shirt pocket long enough and it will tear your pocket:(. I have that same problem, the mods I like are, if not too big, too heavy and that is why I was asking for opinions on the two mods in my original post. I feel like Goldilocks one is too heavy, one doesn't last the whole day......

This will DEFINITELY BE my next mod. Personally I'm never able to put a mod in my pocket I don't know if it's my paranoia or what but I don't feel like it safe when you have a tank attached to the mod even if it's Hank doesn't necessarily break is putting unnecessary strain on your 510 pin anyway a company company finally came with an answer to this problem and I'm so happy and pre ordered it already for under $50

The fact that you still can use an external rda or tank is such a great afterthought. I can not think of one con beside unknown chip.

+1 rx200. Been rocking this thing for a while now. I am loving the power out put for price. Something I'm seeing is either you are looking for portable, or power. Triple 18650's even with some Cheap battery's I am finding I get a whole day out of a charge no prob! This was my answer to quitting smoking (pack a day) I'm not nice to this thing. The only con I see is above 100w it seems to get a little warm on chain ripping.

Between those two I'd get the Presa 100W.

The extended drip tip on the Movkin Disguiser looks like it may cause a condensation issue and might also kill flavor. Easy pass, at least until reviews start to drop.

A. Wismec Presa 100W running on one 26650 battery,
B. Aspire Plato 75W running on one 18650 battery.
I have several mods but the flood of new toys got me itching to buy just one more....for now.

I would choose the Presa TC100 for the superior battery life which really shines if you are vaping at 50Watts or higher.

I just got an eleaf istick 60w temp. Control. It works great for only $30 it is a solid very well built mod that if you drop it it won't break. I work construction and if it can't take a hit it is no good for me. This 60w can take a hit but the batteries life is not that great. That would be the only reason I think about getting a 100w+ mod would be d or the batteries life. I get tons of vape at 40w with my eleaf 60w tc overall one of the best bang for your Buck.

I get the best bang for my 45 bucks with the 200w triple batt Reuleaux RX200..days of vape at 75w or so on an a single batt charge.. It fits great in the hand and just a hair taller than a 18650 batt..I don't drop my mods so I can't say how it would take a fall but at only $45 I wouldn't hesitate to buy a couple more..just my 2¢... lol
