Hi everyone! I just recently purchased a C.O.V Mini Volt and I'm absolutely loving it! I'd love to see other Mini Volt setups as well as other micro/nano-sized mods which are perfect for travelling around with. Here's a pic of my Mini Volt next to a key fob for size comparison:

Hey man what kind of build and battery life are you getting with that set up. I'm using a minivolt with a Pico but I'm not liking the tank, I was thinking of picking up a moon shot though.

Hey pancho! I was aim8ng for a .7-.8 build but im not that good/experienced with building coils so I ended up with a .38

Im going to try building a single coil on it again. Last time I tried a single coil build on the moonshot (got it at .5), i got loads of spitback. Maybe it has to do with the coil being right in the middle of the deck. Will post some pics of the build when I have the time to rebild.

Hey there! I tried running my moonshot on the MV but it sucked my battery life dry in 2-3 hrs tops. Do you chain vape?

almost forgot the Tesla Nano 60w TC.. even though it's a little deeper.. it feels really good in the hand with the top fire. Hold it like you'd hold a gun or fire with your thumb. Here it is next to the mini-volt and the nugget for reference.

Just curious, to everyone using the cov minivolt, what are your resistance/build/gauge/#wraps and at how many watts

I have one with a Pico build with 26g, 8 wraps, at 2.5mm ohming out to 1.17 ohms. I keep it around 20 watts.
My other MV has an origin genny built with 8 wraps of 28g around a 3mm screw driver. That one is ohming out to 1.86, and I'm firing it at 15 watts.
Both built with kanthal and the settings at soft.

What resistance are you running on the moonshot?

It kept jumping from .38 and .42. That rdta is a real b*tch to build on. If I'm lucky, I wont get "Atomizer Short" or "Ohms Too Low". I stopped running it on my Mini Volt already. Paired my MV to the tank it came with.

The Cubis works very well on it too but only from 28w upwards. I like to keep things at 20w so the battery lasts longer.

Cant seem to view these pics. Been wanting to see the Tesla Nano next to the Mini Volt as I've also been eyeing that mod.

I was thinking of getting the IPV5 but after the Mini Volt, I'm sticking to nano/micro mods now

Just love how compact they are! The biggest I'll probably get is the Minikin which I've yet to see in metal.

My X Cube II now just sits in a drawer, neglected. I still bring my VTC Mini though sometimes.

Minivolt with Kayfun Monster Mini V3. I think I built it at 2.5Ω! Great little tootle puffer with mad battery life (10 watts, soft fire). In the background is my IPv D2 with a Blackout Edition Monster V3/ Phoolish Summit collab. Minivolt already has pocket wear on the corners! 2016-02-16 01.19.32.jpg

Looks great! Can I ask though how you built at 2.5ohms? Been wanting to run the moonshot on mine without draining the batt too fast. 10w sounds like it'd last the whole day!

I just went and checked, it's actually 2.65Ω! I know it's a single coil, but can't remember exactly what I built, but it's probably 30ga Ka1, 9 or 10 wraps on 3mm 2.4mm

I just got a Mini Volt today, just the mod, not the kit with tank. Im using it with an Omerta RDA, with a dual micro coil set up (28 gauge kanthal, 1.5mm ID, 7 wrap) clocking in at around a half an ohm. Tried a dual 26/32 clapton at 9 wraps at a .5 ohm, but there just isnt enough power in the little thing to run that well.

I wanna get a small tank or RTA for it, something tiny to match its size. I was thinking about a Moonshot RTA. Anyone have one of those? HOw are they?

I got the moonshot mainly to pair with the Mini Volt even though I got it as a kit.

I found that it's too underpowered for a dual coil setup but I figure I can probably put a 2.5mm 9 wrap of 24g kanthal and probably ohm at .8 give or take. I just hadnt found the time for it yet as I just finished building my Cubos' rba section.

I find that it pairs perfectly with the Cubis since the Mini Volt tank that comes with the kit tends to flood with my current juice (50% VG).

I built the Cubis rba with 26g kanthal wire. 10 wraps with a 3mm jig. Ohmed at 1.00 but as I used it, the ohm jumped down to .67 then settled at .65 after 3/4 the tank. Firing at 20w at the moment.

I want to try a Cleito on the Mini Volt. I reckon that'd look pretty good on it. Sadly, Cleito coils are hard to come by in my area and they dont have an rba section for it yet. Still looking for the perfect, small tank for this little guy. Wish they'd make a mini Cubis or something that's as leak-proof (with the airflow up top).

Just finished building this a while ago. I believe this is 10 wraps at 2.5mm. Using 24g kanthal. Ohms seem to keep jumping though which is kinda weird. Not sure if it's with the wire im using or with the atty.

EDIT: It's now at .79ohms after wicking and filling with juice. Now I know this is not on my Mini Volt but I really dont want to mess up that mod since I like it so much

Check the bottom pin on your 510, that situation sounds like it's not connecting right. Resistance jumping up like htat is generally a sign of a connection issue. So try firing and tightening the screws on the deck, and check the 510. If neither of those try pulling the whole tank apart and putting it back together. Basically something not touching that should be.

Mini Volt here as well, no pic on hand (at work), but running a Freakshow on it right now which is nice. Got a 28g Fused clapton build in there now which is treating me well, battery more than long enough to get me through work (can't chain vape here). I had a 1.12Ω build on it the other day though and that thing didn't even move from fully charged after using it all day at work. Resistance/wattage will determine the amps pulled and the less the longer it lives, and that little thing just seems like it has to be more than 1300mAH but /shrug.

Thanks for the tip! I've checked all the screws and the 510 as well. All are tightly screwed in place.

I'm suspecting the coils are touching the slope of the chimney since the ohms start to jump upon assembly of the chinmey and then jump again after filling with juice. The tank does heat up quite rapidly too so Im really suspecting the coils are touching the chimney area.

If the Moonshot wasnt such an effort to build, I'd change my coils right away. Plus I just finished 1/4 of a new bottle of juice due to leaking problems through the air flow. It's probably hardest rdta Ive built on to date. Really frustrating

The 510 might need to be loosened is what I'm getting at. My Avocado is that way, I need a full turn out for it to make connection on most of my mods, screwed in tight and it's just too short and not getting full connection. So with that I have builds that are <.2Ω reading all the way up to >.4Ω. Once I realized the issue and got the connection pulled out a bit it's been a golden little thing ever since.

And yeah, that Moonshot looks cool, looks like it'd be mighty tasty, but arg I'd hate to build on it.

I saw a video on it being disassembled over in youtube. The battery actually said 1200mah. Checked on cov's site and they spec it as 1200mah. Not sure why retailers spec them at 1300mah.

Anyway, a few things I found out about the Mini Volt:

1. There are differences in the screen color. Some MV's have a blue oled screens and some have white ones.

2. You can check the version that you have and what I presume is its build date. Here's a cropped pic of what I've got:
uploadfromtaptalk1458758099744.jpg
You can do this by pressing the up button 3 times and quickly pressing the down button 3 times.

The copy that I have has a white screen and is built on 2016/FEB/01.

I think you actually might be right. I have the 510 torqued down into the atty. Will try to loosen it up later.

To be honest, once you've gotten the hang of building on it, it's not so hard. Harder than most rta/rda's but the part that really gets to me is screwing the juice flow on and off before and after putting in the coils and firing. They really could've designed this better. And the leaking is my cherry on top. They should've added a juice flow controller like those found on the crius and griffin rta's.

fwiw,, every time i rebuild my rta,, i run neat juice until i am satisfied everything is good. i vape the neat then refill with the desired juice.

Finally got to see them pics. I gotta say, Im really loving the size of the tesla nano. His is dual 18650 right?

Deciding between this and the minikin.

If you are referring to the tesla nano, I believe it is a built in dual lipo battery. Claimed "3600mah".

I'm planning to buy the Tesla 60w TC if I don't win one in the few contests I entered.
Lots of features on the Tesla that my other choice the Istick pico 75w doesn't have.
I have a Tesla 2 nano that's a mech and like it ok.

I just saw the Pico, size looks really good and that battery cap makes it look more of a flask the the Vaporflask... ironically hehe!

That said, I have the three in my list of mini mods.

1. Asmodus Minikin
2. Eleaf Istick Pico
3. Tesla Nano

Amongst the three though, I think Im leaning more towards the Tesla. I have to see them three side by side to decide.

Each has its own ups and downs. I'm liking the Minikin since I can fit two 3000mah 18650s in there and last me a day or two. The Tesla seems to be the smallest and I'm liking the design a lot. The Pico looks unique but in the end, it might not be far off from the size of my eVic Mini.

Wish they'd inprove of the battery of the Mini Volt (Lipo maybe?) since the size, looks and simplicity just cant be beat.

not sure I'd consider the Minikin a "nano-sized" mod if it takes 2 x 18650's. Eleaf.. outside of the iJust2.. all I hear is people complaining about them.. Tesla nano.. if it weren't for the Nugget and it's chinese slave labor price.. I'd own more Nanos. I figure instead of worrying about battery life.. I'll just have multiple loaded mods around. If the Nugget get updated with SS316 TC.. it'll be perfect. The ramp up time is much faster on the nano and the nugget then the mini-volt fwiw. Big advantage of the nugget over the nano is the ability to charge and vape and side charge port

I was actually just watching some reviews over at Youtube and it seems I'm swayed over to the Pico.

The Minikin is quite big but it seems that it's the smallest dual 18650 mod around. I want to get it to replace my hulking X Cube II since Im downsizing all my mods.

Just got back from a trip to Australia and I finally got my Pico!

Didn't get to bring my Mini Volt with me since I didnt think Id stay in my hotel room long enough to charge it so I brought along my VTC Mini instead. Bought a Cleito tank for it as well

So here are my updated mini mod setups:

c1e73418452e0ef6c0c9d5e3d4935f8c.jpg

Loving the look of the Cleito tank, looks so sleek on all my mods. But the Moradin is still my go-to tank. Never leaked even during my flight to and from Sydney evem if tank was filled to the brim with juice. And with my new Pico, it's an awesome setup!
