I have heard from the "grapevine" the kids & the "rats" prone to rob people point me out as someone not to be fucked with. That old man carries a gun all the time. I like that. ;)

Damn it's 3:30am and you want me to think...AND I am blonde?! LOLOLOL I am a bleeding heart when it comes to animals and I have to admit I do get a chuckle out of a deer beating the snot out of a hunter on youtube....but I also like to eat...as long as they are on my plate I would rather not think about how it got there sometimes lol
I hear ya, like I said, I'm just enjoying the conversation, get some sleep!

Old coach of mine has a bowed leg with a steel rod through it because he broke it while chasing down a boar with a knife because it killed one of his dogs while he was hunting. Pretty badass in my book.
big ol balls o steel. So much so it migrated to his leg.

Ever wanna see what a determined dude with a blade can do... Gurkha.

There was one the CO told him to bring back proof recently.. dude brought back heads... in a victora cross earning feat of badassness they tried to toss him out and in prison.

I wish I could get some sleep...I have been very sick and on steroids to clear up a bad strep infection in my throat and that has me wired! Plus when I lay down I cannot breath....ugh, can I just whine for a bit now? lol

Yup yup, whine all you want :p, though my personal recomendation is fill a nice tumbler with whiskey, chug it, toss some pillows or something under the head side of your mattress and lay down, before you know it it'll be morning! :D

Good morning corner peoples. Nothing like the coffee maker thing getting stuck and brewed coffee pouring out of the damn thing all over the counters and floors. Didn't even have my first cup and having to clean half asleep.

UGH! I hate this stupid coffee maker! It looks cool, was a Christmas gift from the in-laws but I want to throw the damn thing across the room when it does this crap.

Serenity now.....

Let's do it. Surely we could wait tables or something to earn enough to keep us in cocktails and juice.
I make juice always, so we're set there. Truly, I dream about retiring there but if spending a couple weeks there has taught me anything it's that it's damn expensive to live there and I'd wind up a stumbling drunk! Best day ever was bar hopping in Key West but it became an early night because we had mojitos for breakfast and continued with beers for the whole rest of the day. Good times, good times!!
In the same boat, kinda, I really need to start looking for another job, but I know I'll fuck over where I'm working if I leave and that's kept me there FAR too long.
That's part of the problem,,, I've worked here for 15 years and am quite attached to everyone, including my boss. We're small, so we're a family but the way we do things hasn't changed in those 15 years and no amount of complaining by me is heard. There are big changes coming but I'm not convinced it's going to be good change.
@kimber - (by the way, hello to everyone from LW & Liz... sorry we had to skip past 455 messages, but, we've been busy and STRESSED - like @kimber) - I've been reading about your job change for the last several days.

No one likes change. A person with your skillset should do very well. Apprehension about this new 'gig' is a normal reaction, and - watch out, kids - you're ALLOWED to feel this way. Repression of any kind isn't good for you inside your head - as your mindset is a strong force on your health, your confidence - and, your overall well-being. Liz and I send strength, and positive vibrations with prayer your way. ;)

Liz and I are moving to Colorado, and the mental / physical stressors are overwhelming, right now.

Our present home sale closes at the end of April; and, we're struggling to get it to 'dovetail' with our new home purchase in Colorado.

@kimber, we're all here for you, should you need encouragement and moral support. Like I wrote earlier - you are allowed to possess these feelings.

LW & Liz :):)
Thank you for the kind words LW (and Liz!). You are always so encouraging!

Yesterday was the worst day yet,,, I made the boss cry. I kind of unloaded on him,,, ok not kind of, I unloaded. And told him if the new place gives me what I want then I'm going. And it's NOT all about the money, it's about many other things. Things I've expressed before that have fallen on deaf ears. I felt horrible... Because I know he's been working feverishly to try and come up with a solution to our issues here but it's all band aids, and there are things he has no control over. It's the uncertainty of our future here that's killing me. Do I take the opportunity that in my face right now or stay and give this place a chance to do right by us??

It doesn't matter now,,, I got word from my friend at the new place last night that they won't be giving me what I want and they're moving forward with hiring a traveling tech. That's ok, you'll pay a traveler a whole lot more than you would have paid me but if that's what you want to do,,

So I guess now I suck it up, stay where I am and hope for the best. There are big changes coming and I'll just have to learn to live with them.

Thank you all for letting me vent..

Coffee motivates me. But what the hell is it that motivates me to make the coffee? Mysterious untapped source of energy, that.
The thought of coffee is enough motivation for me. It's not made with a lot of enthusiasm on my end, stumbling and creaking stiff joints down the steps. Standing there for a minute staring with blurry half closed eyes at the pot to remember how to do it. Fumbling around like an idiot for the 3 minutes it takes to make it work, then standing there staring blankly at it while it brews. Not much untapped energy
