Am I doing something wrong ?

New to vaping. Purchased a kanger kbox200, and a Smok tfv4 mini. Tried the coil that came installed then also tried the rebuild coil. I'm just not getting the flavor i expected id get out of either coil. Ive tried 3 types of juice.

Is there a ratio of juice i should be getting to taste more flavor. The guy at Vape pro told me it is a 70 30 ratio.

Should I just build a dripping deck ?

Please help. Thank you

Hiya long...a couple of questions:

1) are you getting plenty of vapor?

2) specifically, what kind of juice are you using (flavor, nic strength...I assume 70 30 = VG PG)?

Might be more questions, based on your answers...

Hey, what's up Long. Welcome.
Which coil specifically and at what wattage are you hitting the coil at?

Just for shits and giggles, try dialing the wattage down to 20-25w, and shut the airflow about 3/4 of the way. Take a mouth-to-lung draw, and see if the flavor is different or more intense.

Sometimes, a high wattage, deep lung hit, will mute a flavor or change it completely. If you get better flavor with things dialed back, you're probably getting it too warm.

Keep us posted, and I hope this helps!

If you really want to chase the clouds, you'll be surprised what you can get at 30-40w with wide open airflow. Billowy clouds, and oodles of flavor. Hope this helps!
Yeah the unit I have now creates huge clouds but im more about flavor. I'm chasing something that can potentially more enjoyable for me then a cigarette.
Im more interested in flavor. Now im thinking of building a dripping coil for my box mod but I dont know the first thing about it. I just know it can produce more robust flavor.

If your a flavor chaser looking to replace cigarettes, get yourself a nice 50/50 blend liquid and a Nautilus tank. It runs at 10-15w, but makes flavor for miles with a cigarette-like draw. There will be folks that argue with me about this, but for what you're looking for combined with your level of vaping experience, it's a great place to start. Quite frankly, if I had to pick a system and wasn't allowed to rebuild, that's what I would pick. It just works.

In my experience, when ever you put in a new coil (prebuilt) or new cotton in a coil (DIY) you have a "cotton break in period" where you will not get the best flavor for anywhere between half a tank to two tanks full. Stick with it for a while and see if the flavor improves maybe.

Are you wicking with rayon or cotton? I bought an aromamizer. Dreadful piece of equipment. I was getting good vapor, but no flavor as well, using rayon. Cotton I wick loosely, rayon I wick thick and tight. Well, I had so much rayon in there, it was blocking airflow to the bottom half of the coil. When I cleaned that up, so the whole coils were getting air directly against them, man, the flavor difference was remarkable. Everything ELSE still sucks about that device, but at least now, the flavor isn't one of em. ;)

For me it usually takes a few ml before coils start making flavor no matter what tank I'm using.

There is wisdom to this
