Hi guys! vaping on my Eleaf 60w TC with TFV4 mini tank. I can only use the RBA deck because i got too little power in my mod to be able to manage the quad coil. bought som cotton and 24 kanthal and flat ribbon kanthal, i got some questions for you!

1. What the fuck am i supposed to do!? low wraps? high wraps? closed together? far away? what diameter to use? What's the differens between it all? Please explain.

2. RDA vs my tank?? Why is everbody using RDA's? Its so annoying to dripp all the time, am i missing something? I get that its more vapor from an RDA but why? more juice or what?

3. Why mech mods? Isnt regulated mods working exactly the same? like a 200w regulated and a 2x18650 unregulated. whats the differns??

4. Can i go with an RDA on my mod? or is 60w to low? (what builds should I do and dont do if i can?)

5. Worth buying dual deck RBA for my TFV4? (whats the differens?)

6.what wattage is an unregulated mod producing?? like an 2x18650 mod, wont that be like crazy much and be like a goddamn tazer?

7. How can a guy on yt build a coil and then vape at like 30w and get craaaazy clouds? on so low wattage? Am i like blind staring at the watts and missing out something else or whats the deal

Also read that I should build high ohm coil builds? (many wraps) on low Watt, why is that? and how do i get most vapor? isnt that low ohm?

1. It's all different from wire to wire and coil to coil. I'm not the best at explaining this part.
2.Yes dripping can be a pain but an rda will rpoduce both flavor and vapor better than a tank. And tank build decks generally arent geared for these super crazy elaborate coil builds. Although that is changing alot lately. I believe its the griffin tank that has a velocity type build deck.
3.The cutoff is the main factor. Reguateds have a cutoff as far as resistance(ohms), mechs do not.
4.I have seen 60w produce some stellar clouds. Its plenty to power an rda.
5.It might be. I havent seen the tfv4 dual rba deck, only the single. But I assume the dual has more space.
6.Ohms law my man. The wattage is dependant on the coil. As far as dual battery mods, series means double voltage but life of just one battery, while parallel is single battery voltage (4.2-3.6ish) but life of 2 batteries.
7. Sounds like ruptrippers. Idk honestly but I think the clouds are some staged bullshit

Just some food for thought, but stick to regulated mods until you learn more about batteries, coil building, ohms law... it'll keep you vaping safer.

I know about all that, just read the amps and volts of the battery, then the ohms on your coil then check, but you really cant be in the danger zone with 2 or 3 batteries right?

This part I believe is more of a personal choice. RDA's are great, don't get me wrong but there are now a number of RTA's that will give just as good of vape as a traditional RDA because of the crazy builds they can now fit.

For the longest time I dripped at 50 watts, had a simple dual contact coil build with 26g kanthal on a 3/32 drill bit, ohms were around .32. I think it came out to be like a 2.4mm id if Im thinking of the right bit. They now have coil jigs that are easy to use but I"m old-school I guess and always grab a drill bit

28g kanthal as opposed to 24g kanthal will be a world of difference. With the 28 you'll have higher ohms, a cooler vape and probably won't get that dense vapor I feel you're after. 24g is good for basic dripper builds. Try going like 6 or 7 contact wraps, wrapping on one of those blue screwdrivers works fine too. That should get you close to the 2.5mm id and get you a solid vape at around 60 watts and somewhere in the .2s for ohms.

RDA's you are puling the vapor right off the coil basically straight into your mouth so it doesn't have to travel far and the flavor is usually better and maybe warmer because of this.

Personally I'm an RTA guy and have fallen in love with Stainless Steel temp control!

I use an rda on my istick 60. Use that setup 90% of the time, tanks 10% of the time (including tfv4 mini).

I get way better flavor, can use higher vg, can switch flavors instantly, and I find that I have to mess with my rda way less than a tank. Sure, you have to drip every 20 ish hits. But I find myself having to mess with wicking on tanks way more. Either leaks or dry hits until you tweek it just right. And I think it is more convenient to re-wick and clean coils on an rda vs a rba/rta.

Seems like more work, but actually more reliable to me with less dicking around. And way better performance.

Only downsides I see are I use more battery and juice. But diy my juice so not a real issue there.

Just can't really do crazy builds at 60 watts. Best I've used at under 60 watts are dual parallel 26g 5 wraps and clapton 26/38g with 5 to 6 wraps (dual coils). Twisted and fused etc just take too long to ramp at 60 watts.

I feel like if im going under 3mm im getting dry hits of my tank, am i doing something wrong or what?

A lot of that will depend on your wicking and what tank you're using. That was my biggest challenge with RTAs at first. I was wicking them like a dripper and I had the cotton too tight in the coils. Now when I wick my tanks i make sure theres a little resistance when im pulling the cotton through but Im far from forcing it. Then once I trim the cotton I like to fluff up the ends before I juice them and put them in the final positions.

got the griffin rta couple days ago love the taste with ss coils. Still suck at wicking it leaks like a siv but hopefully ill get the hang of it. Just gotta practice and find what you like.

Griffin is a good tank, even after using many RTAs before I got mine, I admittedly had an entire tank drain on me on my first build. It takes more cotton than you would expect!
