I've bought a few premed e juice's before that just tasted like chapstick to me. I'm about to start making my own and I want to know what causes this to happen? Does anyone else ever get this effect?

Were they Chocolate or Doughnut type flavors?
Certain brands or flavors can have what some describe as a Play Doh taste.
But some of the vendor pre-made stuff is usually over flavored and over sweetened.
It could also be chemical taste from too much flavoring or diet pop taste from too much sweetener.
Lots of different reasons, could even be another additive they're using.
But I've never made any chapstick tasting stuff yet, although some were probably much worse
.DIY you have much more control over how you make things and will find out what flavors you like best after some time.
But you may have to try 5 different (type/brand) of Blueberries to find one you like the best.
I had that initially. Never really got a response that tied it down. Looking back, because it was early on, my taste buds were shot. I was using also using inexpensive clearomizers. What taste I had came from very blatant flavors like peppermint.

It's banka cream pie. But I ordered 6 juices from one guy and they all tasted like that so I'm thinking it's a certain mix. Order 3 from another guy... all taste like chapstick. But my cuttwood, flawless, one hit wonder.... it all taste perfect.
I am not sure if it is the case but one of my juices were I used a combination of Stevia and TFA Sweetener (Sucralose) has a light taste of chapstick. It could just be the combination of flavors though so not putting that out there as the reason for sure, just was this thread as I was vaping it. If all of that vendors juices have the same taste then it would make sense if it is the same additives though.
