are my batteries on the verge of exploding

Alright ladies and gents. To start off I have a kbox mini and a mutation xv4 clone .5 ohm build. Now I left my batteries in my kbox all night as I always do but when I woke up they are completely dead like no lights when I plug it in doesn't charge just as if they are completely drained and aren't attempting to be even capable of holding any current. So if anyone has any tips that would be really appreciated

How long have you had them and what kind are they?

How low do you let them discharge before recharging? And about how many charge cycles have they been through?

But do you let one run completely dead before you charge it? If that's the case, between that and using them for sub ohm, they're being run pretty hard. That's quite a few cycles to be six or so months old. I believe it's time to invest in a couple more. ;)

First, if you've been using them in a regulated mod the whole time your mod would probably crap out somewhere around 3.2 volts, maybe higher - this is above the threshold where you'd do permanent damage on a single discharge, which is somewhere in the 2.5 volt range (too weak to fire your regulated mods).

Second, 250 charge cycles is getting near the end of your battery's expected life span - I run mine down until my mod won't fire any more and start seeing notably decreased life after 150 charges or so - if you swap them out with 50% life (3-6ish volts) you should get 300+ charges out of your cells, but I'm admittedly lazy and abusive.

Are your batteries getting hot? What's the charge left on them when you set your mod down for the night? If you're just letting it sit in standby mode, the power draw should be minimal overnight...I'd test by putting a fresh battery in before bed, then seeing what the charge level is the next morning - if you're losing more than 0.1 volts (even that seems high) by doing nothing but leaving your battery plugged in, it may point to something being wrong with your mod's chip...

Chances are the batteries are at the end of the road. Normally you can get 250+ cycles out of them but it all depends how hard you are the batteries.

In my opinion, if it doesn't hot, then it will not explode. Some batteries, such as tesiyi yellow, I have used for three months, which can be charged more than 500 times but it also depend on how hard the battery you use.

Where do you buy your tesiyi? I've been wanting to try them.
