And this lady won the $300 Jackpot with this Dorado..it was the heaviest fish of the trip. These pics were taken aboard the boat San Diego out of Mission Beach.. And vaping is permitted anywhere on board...pretty cool!

Popping in while at work. I've seen them mentioned around here before but I've been using an RX200 the past few days. Really like it and love the battery life and USB chargeability. Plug in a long USB to the port in the car and charge and vape while stuck in two to two and a half hours of traffic. I gave my Asolo to my son. He's been using that for like a month or two now. That Asolo has been real dependable also. Waiting to see what the next generation one holds. Have to set up an anniversary contest tomorrow. Breazy will be 1 on the VU ! Been a quick year with all the friends on here.

@Whiskey....sad....very sad to hear it.
@Break-19...Is this your wife?

Nothing on the Elix "incident" or the sale of me to the highest bidder from days ago?
(seriously, i'm worn and broken in, but I'm potty trained and have plenty of miles left in me)
Wife?? Are you kidding me? I'm not married and never will be..just a girl I met on one of my trips offshore last year..I like being single, lol

So I just for giggles had a big ol bowl of beefy noodles.
Holy shit those onion greens from the purples are some intense flavor adds.

Also had to brew another pot of coffee since I used mine in the stock.

My pork/chicken/turkey gravy.

Apple juice, I like the old style murky cider.
Strong brewed good coffee. Think stick a fork in it strong.
tater starch.
Spices as you see fit.

Once offshore 100-150mi the boat puts out 6 rods across the stern trolling Tuna feathers to locate schools of feeding fish..once these rods hookup the boat stops and everybody flylines a live sardine (no weight).. The fish boated trolling does not quality for the jackpot and once we are under way again the deck hand brings out a big platter of fresh shusi for everybody made from those trolled tuna..this hapoens at least a dozen times, from sunup till we head home at sundown..on the way in I have my tuna filleted by the deckhands, and back at the dock pick them up in big plastic trash bags, then I sort them out at home into smaller individual meal bags for the freezer...after one of these trips I have enough tuna to last all summer, some for the BBQ, some for the smoker, some for tuna salad and some for sushi..when I know I don't have anymore room in my freezer
I've also sold a few of my whole fish at the dock for as much as $200 ea...but I like eating them better..lol

You have no idea how long its been since I've had fresh sashimi....that tuna would not make it back to shore
I'd glad pay $200 for it

Yep, alot of folks are willing to buy my tuna back at the dock.. For an overnight trip the cost is about $200..If I boat my Mexican limit of 5 tuna that are all over 10Olbs ea Id probly be willing to sell one of them to cover the cost of the trip..before we leave the dock every angler has a chance to be in the jackpot for $2O or so, depending on the boat.. The heaviest fish of the trip takes the pot..say 30 guys are in the pot makes for a hefty $600 up for grabs, that alone makes a hook-up wih a big fish just all that more exciting!
Yep, I'm getting that spring fever to go fishing again, hopefully real soon!
