IPV5 vs RX200 Battery Life

Is It possible for the IPV5 to be getting the same battery life as the RX200? Using the same coil resistance of .4 and a wattage setting of 80w on both devices, I feel like I'm getting similar battery life. I don't have any accurate way of testing the two and always charge before my batteries are completely dead.

When the battery matter is on its last stripe on the RX it still have a good amount of life left in it so I'm sure that would make a difference. This weekend, when I'm sitting around the house, I plan on using the two back to back and sew how far off the IPV is. So, is there anything in the IPV chip that could make it more efficient than the RX? Whether or not it's possible that they are similar, the IPV5 gets amazing battery life.

Edit to add... I'm using brown LG's in both mods.

Not shocking, Yihi chips are supposed to be more efficient than most of the chips out there. Haven't seen any data on that though.

Only way to really tell is like you said, need to vape them to the low voltage cut off and if that cut is the same voltage on both... then you got it. If they cut at different voltages, well shit...

Are the cells all within a few months old of each other? Even 6 mo difference could make a pretty good difference in how much juice you get out of them.

Thanks for the reply. Yup, When I ordered the IPV5 I got a few sets of LG's for it and two new sets for the RX from liion. The new batteries have been through about 2 weeks of use.

Run them down to LVC then and see what voltage they cut at. From memory the rx starts flashing at 3.5v so maybe it cuts at 3.4v or so... not bad for the cells. Maybe google knows the LVC for both.

If they are the same LVC, easy test. I'd be curious, borrowed the one I ordered for my buddy and it is nice. I miss the instant fire of a yihi chip. May need to get one.

Good idea, I'll find out those numbers... IPV5 is well worth it for the money. The instant fire is great and the SS TC is very accurate. I got mine from ecig empire for under $55 shipped if you decide to start shopping.

Looked, didn't see anything but people on forums guessing. Every spec sheet I saw just mentioned that they had LVC. I ran my rx down to where it kicked out of TC to power mode once but I don't think I have ever ran it to a hard stop.

Either way... I will probably add an ipv5 to the vape section of the house :bingo:

Yeah I'm looking too and don't see anything... You'll really enjoy it. My only regret is not getting the blue one. I saw one in person the other day and loved it.
