Not looking for any sympathy (and I don't mean that in a mean way)......but Dr.'s still can't figure out how to even "TRY" to fix my shoulder problems (which have been going on since last May:gaah:). Next step......Wait for comp......and see if they approve a second MRI.....This time, my neck. So.....I'll keep on waiting:rolleyes:. So.....That's the icing....on my already shitty day.....That and Saddle's puppy:(. OK......I'm done with my B.S. of the day.

Wow man. You ninja'd me again. So sorry man, hope it all goes well.

Sue was having trouble with her rotator cuff and they used ultra sound to guide the shot to the spot that was causing the problem and after the shot she feels fine. Hope that will help you.

Thanks Pete!......I'm going to mention that to this new Dr. .......and see what he says. I know that before they do anything else, I'm scheduled for some kind of "nerve" tests, and then MRI #2....( if comp. approves it). I'll keep ya posted;).

Thanks Jimi. I still go to work every day......and I'm pretty sure that my boss has no idea of the amount of pain (even though I've told him).....and/or, he just doesn't give a shit. That's OK.......I do what I have to do.

Most bosses don't care as long as they get you to do your job. Sad, but true nowadays. I hope you can get your shoulder pain sorted out. I know all too well how it is to work with chronic pain.

I so dread the thought of being on heavy pain meds. Do not like them, make me itchy, like I am allergic. Guess it's good I don't like the feeling either. Another thing not in my bag. But what I dread worse is going to a doctor when I really need them, or after surgery or something. They are so stingy with the good stuff. "OK, I have to write 3 scripts for this, one for the DEA, one for my mother, one for the little girl who lives down the lane..." Well then get on it, Doc! You fill out 3 forms and I get one jar of pain stuff until I heal and I don't need more. No needle marks on me and I don't even like the stuff, so don't be a dick about it.

It's funny as that's how I'm treated now, but rewind back to High School-College when I was playing football and I was walking in "hey my shoulder's been bugging me" "here's a few Vicodin, and here's the prescription for 90 percocet, and 3 refills of 60 each, that should hold you right?" "umm, yeah sure, but what's wrong with my shoulder?"

I've had a pretty good day so far. It's been raining on and off all day so I've been trying to teach wifey to make coils in case there comes a time when I can't. It's nice being retired, I just wish it would dry up so I can get going on my garden.

Do they have a clue what the base issue is?
Is it nerve related vs rotator cuff scarring etc?
Sorry!......I missed your post. I have a tear in my rotator, and it's been there since 2010. I've dealt with the minor pain from it up til' last May (about 2 months after being "repurposed" at my work. My first Dr. has said that operating on it is not going to solve my pain (since it's in the muscles that lead from my rotator all the way up to the base of my neck). Now, after getting injections that have done nothing, Dr. #2 wants to MRI my neck, and see if that's where the problems are stemming from.

Well that doesn't sound good at all Kev.
