Soda fizz ingredient?

Hi All, I'm a nublet, so please bear with me. I'm thinking about trying to make some soda flavors. I see a lot of recipes and I'll probably try coke and cream soda variations. One thing I may want to experiment with is a fizzy fruit type drink like orange, grape or whatever. I don't want to rely on single flavors and want to eventually experiment with different variations to suit my tastes.

My question is, is there an additive that will deliver a "fizz" effect? I've looked through the Enhancers thread, but didn't find anything there. I have read that some will add champagne, but I don't know how much that will affect the base flavor if at all?

I've not seen a fizz effect additive or anything, but some flavorings will surprising trick your senses. FA Cola and TFA Citrus Punch do that for me. HIC has made some fantastic soda vapes.

Hmmm. The Citrus Punch may work with the fruit ones I'm thinking about. Oh boy, am I in trouble! Thanks @Huckleberried !
It really does! @wllmc has a Dr Pepper recipe floating around in here that is SPOT ON. I get that fizzyness from both flavorings. With brighter fruits, Citrus Punch, sometimes even small amounts of cola. Real cola has citrus in it, so it makes sense and isn't highly noticeable, but it does work better for darker fruit flavors. Brighten a fruit cola, deepen a fruit cola, if that makes sense, LOL.

Glad you're having fun with your flavors. The addiction is real.

I'm one of those "some" that have added Champagne. I used 1% (TPA) in a rum & coke (with lime) recipe and did not notice it significantly altering the flavor. It did have the desired carbonic effect I was looking for. :blech:

That makes sense. I'll try it out! Thanks, @Huckleberried

That's good to know. I don't think I'd mind the Champagne flavor too much if it did creep in a bit. I'll have to give that a shot too! Thanks @RonJS !

I've had TFA Champaigne on my list for this purpose for a long time!

Looks like 3 on my list just from this thread! Last night I saw a post that had Koolada on it and realized I forgot to add that to my first order the other day and ended up doing it last night. 6-7 dollar flavor! I'll have to wait to order again until I come up with a sizable list.

There is a new FA champagne. I don't know if it works.

So far, I have TFA Champagne, FA Wine Champagne and FW Pink Champagne on my list. Maybe someone has used one or more of these for a carbonation effect and has an opinion and will share their experiences. I picture in my head the TFA and FW having a crisp bouquet and I'm not a big fan of sweet wine, so if it was a dry type of wine flavor, I may like it. If anything, I'll get the smallest of each and see which one I like better. Thanks @VinceV1!
