Asmodus , P4U 's USA based warranty center is sticking it to customers by changing the terms and making customers pay for return shipping .

This is BS on the highest level folks and should not be tolerated , Asmodus is telling customers that they will not return their mod unless they pay the return shipping charges despite the warranty card clearly showing customer is only required to pay one way shipping to the facility.

If thats not bad enough, Asmodus is averaging over a month to diagnose the product and decide what to do about it .

Many of us bought the iPV's based on the much touted warranty , not only is the time to figure out what to do with a malfunctioning or dead mod unacceptable, but changing the warranty terms on the fly is outrageous .

Imo, i would stay clear of any P4U product until this gets rectified , at this time P4U refuses to comment but Asmodus will gladly tell you to your face it's your responsibility to pay shipping both ways and it seems like they relish making you wait as long as possible .

I expect a defective mod to be replaced asap or at least diagnosed quickly, if they are overburdened hire more techs , no excuse for this.

Time for hell to break loose

Wow, sorry to hear that! :(

And here I am taking a gander at the IPV V2S ... guess it would be more prudent to wait and see how this situation unfolds.

Asmodus is getting hammered with phone calls and emails but they sound like it's their right and there's nothing we can do about it lol.

They said people have accepted the new policy and have been paying shipping both ways to get their mod back, i understand that most would rather not fight it and pay (probably cheap anyway) but it's the principal.

Well what they think they'll save on shipping, they'll lose X amount in sales!

I would welcome that .

To be honest, i don't think they realize how this one thing can hurt their business , i don't think there's any question that some people will be really put off by this and choose to buy from a company that doesn't pull a bait and switch .

Will they still sell a ton of mods , of course , they just won't sell quite as much as they could have thats all. I think it's a brainless business move , unless every one of them sold will need to be repaired lol.

Here is the original warranty :

This is the grimey "revised" warranty :

This is bad business and most likely illegal... P4U refuses to resopnd to emails. I sent these captures to them, but they don't seem to care. They are now on my list!

Sad that all these warranty issues have surfaced after I pre-ordered an ipv3 with no refund status.

The fact that they changed the terms recently i don't have a problem with , what they are not allowed to do, by law, is subject everyone who bought one before they changed the terms to adhere to the new terms .

That is major BS and against the law but they clearly don't give a damn.

When discussing this issue with the person who seems to be in charge at Asmodus you cannot help but notice how sarcastic they are about it , basically saying tough luck and deal with it because there is nothing you can do but pay us if you want your mod back.

This person has not only told me but i know of quite a few others that they have no intention of following any laws and will not be adhering to any regardless of how many people bitch, no joke , 100% true.

This chap needs a serious attitude adjustment and i would advise that anybody who has bought something from P4U and has to deal with Asmodus to flood their inbox and phone lines that this will not be tolerated.

There are legal processes happening as we speak so it will be interesting to see what develops .

Side note: Asmodus claims P4U will not compensate them and they are doing this because they have a soft spot for the vaping community which i say is major bullshit .

Nobody accepts the warranty responsibility of tens of thousands of units because they are good hearted , nobody rides for free these days.

If they get away with this who's to say that they won't claim sometime in the future that since they are not being compensated by P4U we have decided to implement a one month warranty instead of the twelve month you were promised when you bought the product .

Don't think it will happen , keep silent about whats going on now and we'll see . P4U is also at fault here because they clearly don't give a damn and will not speak up about allowing the warranty terms to be changed at will .

I had such high hopes for P4Y and their warranty agreement with someone here in the states (to avoid the hassle of shipping it to china).
What a huge disappointment.
I have had no issues with my iPV2 and have an iPV3 on the way. Sort of which i knew this before ordering it though.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

What is everyone recommend we do since asmodus doesn't seem to give a rip? Should be complain to P4Y? (I know a few guys there and would be happy to share the community disappointment in this issue)

If P4U makes a statement about it and denounces what Asmodus is doing that would be a good start . Seems they don't care one way or the other and that is clearly going to cost them sales , will it have a big enough impact on sales ? I highly doubt it and thats why your not hearing them speak about it most likely.

Asmodus clearly could care less about what people think and since they said they will do as they wish regardless of the the laws that really says everything about what kind of outfit they are.

I would rather pay what i have to to send my iPV to P4U directly than have to suck it up and put up with Asmodus's BS on principal alone .

I think P4U is a solid mod maker and they seem to make excellent chips so i am not as down on them as their warranty partner.

Honoring a warranty and the terms is good business, changing those terms and screwing over the customers only leads to lost future sales and bad blood for the company. That's why I will never buy another home appliance from Sears. Got screwed on a warranty for a dishwasher. They covered the burned out pump motor replacement, but charged me for the labor to replace it, which was 38% of the cost of the 3 month old dishwasher.

They dont make the chips. YIHi does. Sigelei uses the same sx chip as p4u. This is another reason why I buy sigelei products.
