Reo Question and Discussion

Hi All,

Looking for some suggestions from those who own or have owned a Reo. First off, I will say that the following and support of the Reo is quite impressive and I am sure well deserved!

Personally, I am a big fan of Provaris and Kayfuns - that combination just really works for me. That said, I do have a couple of mechs and drippers, but I find that no matter what the ohm coil on the drippers, I can't help but feeling it is "too much" for me. I am kind of wimpy when it comes to my vaping needs. :) I am at 6mg nic and usually build coils in the 1.5 - 1.7 ohm range.

So, now knowing the above, is there another reason to try a Reo? Perhaps a certain type of build might tone it down enough for me to enjoy?

I know this is all purely subjective, but any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

I had a Provari and a Kayfun, and the Reo with an RM2 is light years ahead in flavor. You can build coils in whatever resistance you need, so that's not an issue - but, remember, the Reo isn't mechanical, so you may end up building lower! You probably need to lower your nic level with rdas - try 3mg perhaps?

There's a huge Reo fan base as you know - and most of us end up with multiple Reos :)

Vaping to me is all about the flavor and convenience, and the Reo - to me - is excellent in both those areas.

Thank you for the input - I might have to consider one. :)

Btw...very, very cute puppy!!

Can you recommend a model, etc? Essentially, I want to place an order with everything I would need to get started. Make sense?

Thanks, again!

Your choices are between a grand and a mini - sizewise. I have both, so it really depends what you want. Mini 3ml bottle, 18500 battery; grand 6ml bottle 18650 battery. Both are small (and I have small hands). Then you can get them in LP (low profile) where the catch cup is milled down to accept different attys. I recommend you get the LP (I don't have one), simply because it gives you more options later.

The RM2 on Rob's site is an awesome single coil, bottom fed atty at a very reasonable price- I have them on all three of my Reos (get a regular one, or an LP one IF you get an LP Reo). Extra bottles are always useful, and an extra spring in case of a collapse (I've never had one - I'm sure it's because I have a spare spring LOL). And order batteries from somewhere else to go in it - I get mine from RTD Vapor.

Have you been over to the Reo forum at ECF? There's a terrific amount of information there about Reos, and that's the only forum (I think) where Rob actually hangs out.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply - very helpful! I will take a look again at Rob's website and perhaps, do a bit of shopping!

I am on the ECF, but admittedly, find the site a bit difficult to navigate (so many forum topics), so at times I get a bit frustrated.

Thanks, again!

I recently got my first Reo and do love it. I got the mini (love the size) and the RM2 atty. Personally I am not impressed with the RM2 so I just purchased a cyclone for it. I have only had it a couple of days but the difference (to me) is incredible. Love it!

Definitely get the LP so you have more options for attys. If you want a slightly used RM2 brass atty let me know, I'll give you a good deal on it.

Thanks for chiming in and for the generous offer. I just visited the Reo website, but it is temporarily down for testing. Once it gets back up and I know my cost outlay, I will circle back.

Really? I'm thinking you need to give that RM2 another chance - the general consensus is that they're pretty equal in flavor. But you have to build the RM2 coil out to the edge and wick it with a very small amount of wick :D

Yea really. I know many people like it but it is just not for me. The cyclone works much better for me. I wish I had gotten the LP but I didn't know. My next one will be for sure.

The only Reos that aren't true mechs are the Woodviles and the VV Grands I thought???

And I too prefer the Cyclone to the RM2, lung roasting sub 0.5 duels for me :)
