When I was getting a LOT of root canal work done, my dentist would ask me if I wanted something for pain; I'd just shake my head and say no, ibuprofen and a nap will do me just fine -- he said I was the ONLY one of his patients who didn't DEMAND narcotics on the slightest pretext. I told him, if I really needed them, I'd be demanding... but my perception of "really need" is a lot different from most.... like, morphine was a miracle when my appendix went south; IV demerol barely touched labor pains.

It's gotta be seriously major for me to consider narcotic painkillers. I was absolutely flabbergasted to find that after 23 yrs sobriety, I really don't like that feeling anymore. Never saw THAT coming.

A year ago I had a Carotid Endarterectomy on the left side of my neck, I was home for three days and had a scull splitting headache. I called the surgeon and he asked if I was taking the meds he prescribed, I said what meds, at discharge they forgot to give me the scripts. Well it was Oxy, the best pain killer I ever had!

Today I just spooled up with some Spectra 65lb test for backing on these two reels used for live bait..will top shot ea with 25-30lb P-line mono..

Now I gotta decide which of these mods/tanks I want to bring offshore..last time I took a mech and RDA but I was thinking this time a dual or triple batt VW mod with the Crown, TFV4 or the awesome Griffin, and of course a big bottle of juice..decisions decisions!, lol

That's old news..daily sport catch limits has been cut from 1O fish per day per angler to only 5..and commercial fishing gas been cut back rather drastically...
If there was indeed a danger of overfishing California Fish and Game wouldn't let us fish for them..fish stocks today are healthy...
