We've been watching the Simpsons since I was pregnant with my son... We couldn't go drinking in the bar anymore, so we bought a TV, and there was this new network, Fox... Tracey Ullman had a show, and she was great, so naturally we watched... Fell in love with the cartoon clips... and when they returned as their own show, we started watching immediately.

We must have been sporting the baby belly at the same time. My son was born same year they came out and watched with him and his little brother all these years since. My sons are just as warped as I am. Grew up on Ren and Stimpy, and all the early Cartoon Network shows, Micheal Keaton Batman to now, Aliens, and way more horror and crime drama than kids at their age did.

We are still watching TV today and love many of the same films and music... Its weird. I love my boys and they still seem to think their Ma is kinda cool and fun.

You might have been slightly ahead of me... it was fall of '87 when we were watching Tracey Ullman, I was pregnant... kid was born in May 88. I could never tolerate Ren & Stimpy, but there was a terrific kid's show called Eureka's Castle, does that ring any bells? There was a character called "Batly".... which we customized to "Bratly", for our son. :D My mom took exception to that, so we changed it to "Kidly"... and we still call him that. :D And now, our cat is often referred to as "Catli". :D

But speaking of the great shows that were on the early Fox network... by far the best was probably Alien Nation; it was entertaining, but it also had many valuable things to say. I was heartbroken when it finally ended.

Remember this show? The FOX viewing position was not exaggerated very

That was a good one. There were quite a lot of great ones. Especially X-Files.... My sons and I rewatch all the seasons at least once a year

I have all of the Married with Children, Xfiles, Malcom in the Middles and cant remember what else.

I know what I should NOT do, I need to stop vape browsing. I want some bits and bobs for my FEV atties and I made a pact with myself not to spend on unnecessary vape gear UNLESS I sell something to justify it.

My stuff is just out of date , I guess. NOT selling.....

Gotta stop looking around.

Well if it's old enough that no one wants to buy it, donate it to a vape newbie and tell yourself, "I did something good for someone, I deserve some bits and bobs." Just because it's old doesn't mean that it's not useful to someone. I just gave my old 50 watt istick and freakshow clone to one of my friends who was going without because he's been strapped for cash lately. Mind you I already bought my new stuff before I donated it, but the idea could still work.

Excellent post!

Could someone who has an Achilles and has decided that the draw is too tight please sell it to me? :D I promise to give it a loving home. :)

I survived off of gifts for a while, and I'm the kind of person to pay it forward. The iStick had been a gift from someone who had plenty when my CF Sub Ohm stopped working properly, it still had plenty of life in it though the fire button was a bit wonky, when I got my Cuboid, and a friend was in need of something, so forward it went with a small package of supplies. Hopefully by the time the iStick actually dies, he will have saved himself up some cash to grab a new mod.

Yes, PIFs are great; I've given and received them -- in fact, one of my 2 Achilles was PIFed to me by someone who thought the draw too tight. But at this point, I'm willing to BUY an Achilles from anyone who has one and finds the draw too tight -- since most folks don't like the kind of tight draw I do. They're not made nor commercially sold anywhere anymore, so buying it from an individual is my only possible option. Clone or authentic, I don't care which -- both mine are clones.

Don't have any Achilles here I'm afraid. Just a nimbus, a Nautilus, and 2 Griffins.

~flip through the forums; vape, try new flavors (been meaning to take some pictures and show you guys some of the really awesome damn good flavors we got going on here in Ohio right now. They are so on point!)

lately the bf and I have been watching WWE network. they have this really nice documentary series called The Monday Night War about WCW & WWE and how they fought for prime time TV in the late 80's and all through the 90's. it's very compelling and truly very interesting. the episodes are about n hour long a piece and there are about like, 26 episodes or so and they go through all the stuff that lead up to the Monday Night War, down through the Attitude Era, Brett Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, the WWE Degeneration X, Hardcore Championship title, Mick Foley, WCW and how they tried to pump themselves up, the sexual content on WWE, the risky business sexual women's champion wrestlers like Sable and Chyna, Evil Mr. McMahon, Hulk Hogan, the copyright infringements with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, the Montreal Screwjob with Bret Hart, everything. it's actually really nice series and it even pays homage in two episodes to the Lucha Libre wrestlers and ECW about how the Hardcore part of the attitude era got it's start. It's super intense and has a lot of good back story to how some things got the way it got to be. They are releasing the second DVD of it here really soon but every episode is on their network that they started like 2 years ago.

I was always more into wwf than wcw... back when legion of doom was doing it big and before ultimate warrior disappeared and came back. Also jake the snake was cool.
I remember i went to a live show at miami arena where new undertaker took out old undertaker and that was when they changed undertakers....

Tonight I spent nearly 3 hrs trying a build. So much time wasted. I may just put on NetFlix and watch an episode of The Arrow. I binged watched a new show, "The Ranch" with Sam Elliot and Deborah Winger all last week. Can't wait for Season 2. They have a laugh track with it. Sam Elliot doesn't do laugh tracks! I hope they take that out next season.

-Lurk on forums and occasionally write very wordy and detailed responses to simple, straightforward questions/statements.

-Play guitar absentmindedly. The stuff I come up with late at night is unique to that late-night mindset. Everything gets more drawn-out, serene, and maybe even a little surreal.

-Hop around youtube/spotify in search of new music. I rarely feel like listening to music late at night. I just peek around and make a list for when I wanna get into something new that I know I'll enjoy later... sort of like hiding little musical Easter eggs for myself.

-Clean and organize EVERYTHING, vape stuff especially.

-Build on every RDA I have, even ones I don't plan to use.

-Twist-up an excessive amount of clapton and fused clapton wire.

-Cook eggs in any one of the many ways in which I often cook eggs.

-Shop online, but NEVER buy... ...I only bookmark because I make terrible purchasing decisions when I'm bored. I wait till I'm less bored and perhaps less broke before deciding whether or not to pull the trigger.

-I used to do the binge-watching thing, too. I've seen at least a couple hundred different anime movies and shows because of it. Didn't take me very long to run out of stuff too watch. I really just don't sleep often... ...but the real reason for why I haven't sat down and watched anything in a long time is that I find I get tired faster if I'm actively doing something - tiring myself out versus waiting to get tired.

Besides, sitting and watching things isn't something I tend to do at all, in general. From the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed, I'm actively engaged in something. I literally don't spend more than few minutes of each day in passive mode. I have ADHD so I'm always moving and or thinking intently... ...just trying to keep immersion up so I don't slide off of the log and derail my whole day.

I really don't understand how people sit and watch things for more than an hour out of each day. I don't even know how I managed it. Once you stop vegifying for long enough, it gets really hard to commit to even a single episode of something.

-Super Smash Bros. Lvl 9 AI teams. Pokemon. Nazi Zombies.

-Wikipedia. 'Nuff said.

-Things.

-Stuff.

-Go on bike rides.

Seriously, I know that last one sounds weird, but night-riding is cool... ...I find it very surreal and relaxing. It's cooler outside, there's little to no traffic, night skies are awesome to look at (orange street lights contrasting with reddish clouds on purple backdrops with blue/green/white stars peeking through are my favorite,) and depending on where you live, you pretty much have the town to yourself.
So much of me in my single mid-twenties that I kinda miss it...saying lots of useful shit online that wouldn't get read, tooling around random streets on my bike at 2 a.m. because more than 3 hours' sleep seemed like a waste, wandering the beach and interviewing the bums at bonfires, receiving lots of great grain-of-salt stories, getting lost down the Wikipedia hole, occasional bouts of Adult Swim cartoons (because TV is only tolerable in 12-minute bursts)...

Now, work. Mainly work. Much easier to write/copyedit when the family is in bed..,

Bahaha, it is pretty nice having the time to kill. I came out of a several-year relationship early last year and I've since learned that I don't really need someone to complete me. I've really been loving the single life. I've always been a very independent person in that I find I don't need people who are constantly in my life and in some ways prefer being off on my own. My mindset is basically to live how I want to unless I meet a woman that I would be willing to give my free time to. That's a tall order though. I like being on my own too much. I'm one of those people who can travel the world alone and never be lonely. Not too many people really get that about me - people say I'm strange for thinking that way, like I must have a complex or something. But I'm telling you, I love my life! I think it's important to be able to live a happy single life in order to maintain a healthy relationship - that goes for both parties, really.

But I digress...

saying lots of useful shit online that wouldn't get read,
Hey now, that's not fair! People do read my posts! :p

Haha, I too talk to bums. There are different communes depending on where you go, all with their own hierarchical systems. These people run operations that keep everyone alive. It's crazy. Homeless folks ain't all that bad. Sometimes some wires get crossed, but they'll give you some of the most honest conversation you'll ever have. They don't give a fuck what you think because they've got nothing to lose. I find that if you approach them as equals, they tend not to ask for stuff or fish for pity and that's when things get really interesting.

I not only get bored late at night, but many times I get depressed and what always cheers me up is a good ole episode or 10 of Family Guy

As of late, I have been binge buying vaping hardware, ejuice and will learn ejuice DIY in the next month. All the while still buying up all I can find before the lights go out.

Also, see my new thread here shortly.

I have a new toy lately. Recently when I ordered something from Amazon, somehow "free trial of Prime" got selected. Sure enough, I forgot all about it, and bang, my credit card got billed $99, about a month later. Maybe 2 wks, and that's how I forgot it. But I talked it over with my husband; it maxed out my credit card, but otherwise, no damage; the sky didn't fall or anything. So why not just enjoy it for a year, rather than chasing my tail trying to get it removed. So now we have a lot of cool video stuff, TV shows and movies, some made just for Amazon, for the new LED smart TV we got with our fed tax refund. And I have unlimited ad-free streaming music on any of my devices... so I've been jamming to a lot of classic rock lately; yeah, some, a lot of it, I already own... but some I don't, and I don't have to do anything but add it to a playlist. I told my husband that next year, we'll just go ahead and allocate $100 from the fed tax refund, to renew it. :D

We've had Prime for years. The benefits far outweigh the cost. There is SO much you can do - and free shipping! Glad you're enjoying the perks. The streaming movies are great, too. They typically come out before NetFlix.

Yeah I already decided that pretty soon I'm gonna order a gal of PG and a liter of VG from Bulk Apothecary thru Amazon, thx to the free shipping it's by far the cheapest for me now. :) I've used their Nature's Oil brand since I started DIY, and it's very good -- but when I started, a 16oz bottle of it was $3.95! Now it's like $11!

We watched both seasons of Bosch, because I LOVE those novels; now my husband's an addict too, wanting to know when the 3rd season will be available. :D And, we can finally watch ALL of True Blood, we missed several seasons of that, and ALL of Fringe, likewise.
