There are several here in the Highlands. Acme Ink always had a good reputation, Imperial... I'd ask around maybe if you're on FB. I'm not, lol. I went to a place in Shepherdsville twice, but won't go back after the last trip there. All jacked up on color now.
Thanks hun. I'm not on fb. Probably the only person my age that isnt
I'll have to drive around and see some shops
I've only met three people I've tristed to do tats on me. Ones dead. Ones in prison. And the last ones strung out. I think my choice of finding a new artist is a wise one. As I don't plan to die anytime soon, I will NOT go to prison and I don't like junkies. Their to unpredictable.

That's a looonnnng drive to sit in a shop for hours lol. I'm gonna try to get my first arm piece done in 4-5 hours as it's medium sized and not super detailed. The gfs sholder piece is smallish but really detailed so I figure 6-7 hours for that one.
I've spent alot of time in shops and around artist, but still don't have any ink.

Google shops here. WIDE selection. You can also visit their pages, their artists and their profile work on some sites. I've seen some really impressive work.

I have a piece planned for my inside right arm, a half sleeve I'm working on for my left arm, and I'm about to start drawing up a full back piece
I have major ink in my future. Just wanted to get my arms built back up to how I like em. No better way to ruin a tat then to stretch your skin out

When I move around I rattle they have me taking so many pills
I shouldn't "like" that but I know what you mean. I used to help my gma get her pills ready for the week. I would sit there looking at all 4000000 meds she was on and think, how the hell doesn't she rattle everywhere she goes?

You know its a good thing my junkie neighbors don't live here anymore. They'd be after my 'scription. I hate junkies.... You know the kind that don't want to be off drugs. Them folks that take advantage of people just because they can. I know the difference between someone who is addicted and a junkie.... It makes me sad that there are people out there like that. And I know the biggest ones in my county. :(:(

Thank you for knowing the difference....as an addict, we are often thought of as junkies...not true.

It wasn't bad and it came out great!
As long as the artist can keep steady I would stay my ass in the chair
longest session I've seen was my sister's ex husband. He went for 6 hours straight laying on a coffe table in his "trusted artists" kitchen lmfao.
Of course about three weeks later the artist was shutdown at his shop for reusing needles and ink cups to try to cut cost. Infected 40-50 people with hep-c. His shop was disgusting. It looked what what the bottem of the inside of a dumpster does

Yep lots of folks don't understand that good folks get dragged under the bus with the bad apples. I firmly believe there are folks out there who just want to get fucked up and ruin not only their life but everyone else's too. And were like that from an early age.

Then there are the victims, whether of circumstances, poor choices, or doctors mistakes. Folks do go down the road of addiction BUT they still have a good core. They are the ones who deserve our help, love and support. <3

You be sure and let us know before you go so we can pray for you. When we were home last October I took Sue's brother for his chemo treatments.
Yeah it's my choice they say there's no cure for the cancer I have got but chemo will give me an extra year it's 18 weeks and I am kinda wondering if it's worth it or not

That's why I am so peculiar about where I go. I know how to care for a tat. Does the artist know how to properly and safely give one?
They SHOULD if they are certified. But sadly our world is full of those who would rather halfass everything then do things the right way

Any reputable shop will show you the autoclave and open the needle in front if you or even have you open the package its in.

But the typical 18-25 year old just thinks, let's go get some tribal bands so I can fuck more bitches.
They don't realize when a needle is BENT ALL TO HELL. Kinda scary that people go to get tats without proper forethought. You end up with jimbo from down the way with a sewing machine foot pedal and a motor from whatever they could find to use.

As sad as that situation is Jimi my mom is having second thoughts about she should have never started Chemo...the port in her neck hurts and is uncomfortable and going for treatments is hard on her because the cancer has spread throughout her entire body despite chemo therapy and radiation treatments lately..she has lesions all the way down into her abdomen ...
Her hair has fallen out, arms are swollen and puffy along with her face and neck...pain is unbearable as the doctor has changed to more powerful meds in last couple of days...home hospice is doing the best they can making her comfortable.. but as these final days pass by her pain seems to getting worse, right down into her bones...sad indeed to see my mom in such bad shape...
