Not feeling well, and having so much to do has been preventing Liz and I from visiting our favorite Corner here at VU. Please forgive us, and yes - it's true - we miss all of you 'dudes,' and 'dudettes'.

Posting here has been one of our favorite pastimes, and we miss interacting with some of the most wonderful folk we've ever met online. I realize that I, LW, do the 'wordsmithing' for both Liz and I, but she - even though she has her own account as @Liz Wonder here at VU - due to the neuropathic damage that became progressively worse over time, since her H1N1 fight in late 2013, early 2014 - her thoughts, beliefs and feelings are shared through my proverbial 'online pen,' as best as I can give to the nicest online readers that I know.

She sends her love, and warmest regards - though most of my writings here tend to be in the tense of 'first person,' I try to echo her sentiments, and believe me when I write - she reads EVERYTHING that I write.

She is my 'editor-ad-litem.' (chuckle)

We reserved our rental truck (damn it, to that HOT PLACE) with Penske; the hitch that was ordered for me through N., our local vape shop manager and auto mechanic - ended up being for a Honda Odyssey. So, we take it back to Walmart tomorrow, with our three-ball Clevis-pin hitch assembly. Aside from having a local welding shop fabricate a frame-mounted class II hitch for our four-door Focus that is a unibody vehicle, which can only handle class I hitches - we are, to put it bluntly - SCREWED. :cuss:

Penske ended up being cheaper than U-Haul (pieces of fecal matter 'governed' to a 55 mph top speed), Budget (with a car on a tow dolly behind it, envision getting SIX mpg, maybe seven, with a 40 gallon GAS tank - think Stranded in Kansas (to the late Judy Garland, aka "Dorothy" in the film "Wizard of Oz"... there's no place like home; there's no place like home...).

Enter Ryder - who are affiliated with Penske, but why would I rent a truck that only does round-trip rentals... in other words, drive Ryder's cheapest rental truck - a Daimler Chrysler-derived Metro Van with a diesel-engined, great mpg V-6 from Central NC to CO - unload it, and drive it BACK to NC in SIX days, with our car still on a tow dolly behind the Metro Van... drop off the aforementioned, and drive OUR car BACK to CO... you may insert some of the worst epithets ever conceived by humans HERE...

So, Penske won - but, we now have to drive two vehicles - with FM walkie-talkies. We spend $838.64, insurance included (our car only has liability insurance, so we're glad to spend the extra $160 for full COVERAGE on the rental, should anything BAD happen), and we get a truck with a loading ramp, 10 mpg and safety for NINE days.

We can take our time, get rest, and FINALLY - we get to say goodbye to the county that leads NC in those 'special' kinds of homemade labs, and our pervy neighbor.

It's the best we can do (!). Our car now rides on kick@$$ US rubber, has new suspension and brakes, new K&N filters (the air filter comes with a lifetime warranty, if you clean it correctly), K&N oil filter with Royal Purple synthetic 5w-20 motor oil to be Colorado-ready, and gets a four wheel alignment on this Thursday afternoon - by appointment, so in - and out - we go.

Just now got home. Talk about getting screwed over.
Ended up giving breaks and working a half a day lol.
My mangers gonna bitch at me when she's there tomorrow. She told me "not to help them at all. Your here for truck only"
my other manager (on duty today) asked me to stay to help out with breaks.. uhmmm. 4 hours of what will be straight overtime? Yea I'll stay around doing nothing
