I bought a 40a battery with 2600mah capacity in a website the last week. It is manufactured by tesiyi. I think 40a is much higher than I have ever seen. Anybody using this battery?

Mooch defined it as a 25A cell with a capacity of 2300 mAh. This places it it above the LG HD2 and the HD2C. Tesiyi is sending me some cells to test. While I do not have a CBA to perform discharges past 5A, I will be able to test for IR and charge-discharge-charge cycle them to verify capacity.

So you are saying the PULSE discharge current rating is 40 amps and the CDR (continuous discharge rate) is 30 Amps?

I would not trust them in a flashlight at this point.
What it has been damned near a year with this false bullshit, and they cannot even get it straight what the fuck the battery actually is as in the discharge rate.

For fucks sake not a straight answer from them period what makes them think I would trust them to put them in anything.

No, it doesn't make sense, cuz it's not a 30 amp cell...:headbang:...:headbang:
Our test result is indeed different from Mooch‘s. we also did rigorous testing.it shows it's a 30amp battery!

@raymo2u It is really useful, thanks for your share.I have found tesiyi yellow in this 18650 table.
Make a comparision between other 18650 batteries! You will find Tesiyi Yellow performance better than Sony Vtc5.....

Well he does show it to be superior to VTC5s but we all know VTCs aren't full 30 amps like we all thought for a long time. Erring on the side of caution is always respected and recommended here, so following Mooch (who's very well respected in the community) is probably the best idea. This is just reading his chart curious to see his full write up on your battery though.

I will always believe a 3rd party test then a test performed by the people who gain from exaggerated results...
Im not saying yours are exaggerated but there isnt a damn 2800mah/30a CD battery no matter what processes, chemicals, and binding methods used...At least not in a 18650 size.

So looking at that picture, and focusing only on mAh, those batts are either 2500, 2600, 2700, 2800 or 2900, depending on the battery bay.

[no followup sentence available due to brain malfunction]

Edit: The above was referencing post #5. Here's a crop of the pic.
