Well said Huck and so true! For over 10 years I've been trying to convince the hubs that his constant nagging to his addict daughter is not helping, nor will it convince her to "fix" herself. Three kids later she's still at it, her mother has full custody of her kids and she's allowed to just show up whenever she has a lucid moment, which does nothing but totally fuck up those little heads. She's been through rehab, several of them and it never sticks. Why should it? She knows her kids are well taken care of, she knows her father will come running whenever she calls. She also knows we lock everything up and leave outside lights on because we're afraid she's going to come here and break in....again. She's broken in and stolen from us twice.. Got all my jewelry the last time which she pawned and is gone forever. I've been saying for years that the only way she's going to "get" it is if you and her mother let her go. Stop contacting her, stop nagging her, stop running every time she calls, stop letting her flit in and out of those kids lives. He says he'll always have hope,,, that's fine but we've been doing this for more than 10 years. At what point do you finally see that you aren't helping her? It's a horrible position to be in and I truly feel for you Breazy.

I started on an RDA, and it was so simple. I had a Griffin that worked great at first but like Hank said, it's extremely tricky to get the wicking just right. I got it right exactly once and then I just couldn't do it again. Extremely frustrating. Every time I'd screw the body onto the deck it would move my wicks and the thing would dump. I sold em before I threw them against the wall. I'm waiting on a couple serpents and we'll see if those are any easier. I hate that they beat me.

YES!! Fuckin Griffin!!!
Hi Kimber
Sorry to hear you gave up on your Griffin(s)
They are not that difficult to build actually, as I've had the same build in both of mine for over two weeks and still vaping great!..no leaks and no dry hits even chain vaping either....maybe you'd be better off with a plug-n-vape tank like the Crown.. Griff sounds like its too much tank for you.. Just a thought my friend, just a thought..

Amen, folks don't realize that yes they have to want to stop, but WE have to learn how to stop also, as parents being enablers and not knowing we are.

I'm still trying to figure out how I've been vaping for so many years and I still feel like a noob 90% of the time. I go to other threads trying to help and I'm so far from helpful it's insane. I found my happy spot a year or two ago and haven't moved on to all the new stuff

that's what more vapors should focus

EDit: yes im a hobbyist, but those trying to settle and stay off smokes

Agreed! I have a crown and I love it. Even bought the deck for it but I can't get the fuckin thing apart!!! I've tried everything to get it apart and it won't budge. Finally said to hell with it and bought some coils for it. Building is the easy part, there's nothing to wrapping a decent coil, it's the friggin wicking that gives me fits. Hours upon hours of wicking videos and still can't do it right... And I'm supposed to be intelligent!!. But I do love the crown,, nice big tank and good flavor. Pretty hopeful about the serpent though. They're on a slow boat from China so it'll be a month before I see them. Hmmmmm, maybe I should try to get that deck apart this morning.....

This is so me!!!! I was perfectly happy with my ego twists and carto tanks, took me two years to get to those and then used nothing but them for two years. I used to frequent that other forum but stopped a couple years ago... Just seemed like a lot of crap going on, even back then. A few months ago I found VU and holy shit! Things have changed!!! Talk about a noob!! I felt like I was vaping in the dark ages!! Used to think 5 watts was the bomb,, now I'm up to 30... I'm pretty grateful I found you guys but damn, I've spent a lot of money! Still glad to be off the stinkers though.

That statement has my name written all over it, with a couple years added. Not only has the tech changed, but juice qualities too. If it wasn't for walking into a new brick and morter that opened up locally, I probably wouldn't be here.

If it wasn't for the helpful folks on this forum I wouldn't have advanced as far and as quick in my learning curve from my newbie days..For example I heard about the 100w 26650 Presa mod here first last week, did some research, and expected delivery on it is today..also learned about the TFV4, Crown and the awesome Griffin right here, along with countless atomizers, mods and batteries.. Learned how to wrap coils and all that knowledge to build my RDA's and RTA's safely and for top performance right here...this is a great to place to be if your serious about vaping..lots to learn from our fellow vapers right here.. It's great!!

Deck apart ? I'm not sure if it comes apart.. I think it's a press fit into the base, but I'm guessing.. Never bothered vwith a RBA in the Crown..too small, lol

It IS small, which is part of my problem. What I can't get off is the chimney(?) the part that surrounds the coil deck. It comes with a coil in it but I can't get it off so I can wick it. That's it... I'm going to the lab and get that friggin thing apart!!!

Same temps here, but rain moving in later.
Chiropractor hasn't been able to undo the pinched nerve, so been doin the Saddle cat nap 2 hr sleep thing. My right arm keeps lighting up or falling asleep if I move or sit too long in certain positions. Now I know how @Kevin H. feels with this shit. Probably have to go get a MRI if tomorrows appt. doesn't improve it.

Bacon's cooking. But I have to decide... oatmeal, or frosted mini wheats? Hmmm. Can't decide what I'm in the mood for.
