Questions about temp control

I've been vaping for 2 1/2 years and making my own coils for a year and a half now. I've always used power mode on my devices. I own several tc mods, but never really looked into learning about it till now. I'm considering stainless steel because it seems easier to work with than ni200. I am using an ipv5 with the aromamizer rdta. I make my own juice at a 70-30 ratio. Any tips on builds or advice is appreciated.

IMO SS is the way to go. I'd grab 22,24,26, and 34-36g so you can make regular, parallel, twisted, Claptons, and fused Claptons. Some people say that the Clapton wrap doesn't need to be SS, however, in my experience, having the SS wrap tastes better and allows TC to work properly. I usually set the TCR 116-132 depending on the device. Of course, being SS, you can run it in power mode as well.

Where do you find 34-36g SS wire? All I can find is 32g SS316L.

I'm currently using 26g for dual coil builds, and 28g for single coil builds. In addition, I'm building spaced coils, since they seem to work better (at least for me).

I've got the link, due to being a customer there. However, on rare occasions. I get most of my stuff elsewhere cheaper.

If you do decide to use TC control here is some good advice. Make sure you lock the resistance of your coil while its cool. Most TC mods have this function. This keeps you mod from reading it at different resistances (which it will do) as it heats up. Then set a temp and play around with the wattage at that temp. As you increase/decrease the temp... play with the wattage each time. Then you can lock your temp/wattage and you will get the same exact vape every single time :bingo:

I love TC with SS. Running dual coil at .22, 60 watt ramp, 450 degrees on my aromamizer. It saves juice, battery life, and provides a great vape experience. Play around and lock the ohms when tank is cold. Its a awesome thing TC. Did use to TC with Ni200 but I love how with SS you can go from power to TC with no issues. Mainly power with RDA's and TC with tanks for me

What makes TC better than just adjusting your wattage?
Basically its a safe guard against dry hits. Saves the cotton from burning when juice is low. Also saves juice by not putting consistent power to the coils. Overall for me its amazing. But thats MHO
