I have a black thumb. My house is where plants go to die lol. My flower beds are all low maintenance bulbs and perennials and the veggies got left to the hubby after I overwatered the first yearYou have really got to give tomatoes lots of love!

Geeze those are huge starters! The ones we put in down here are like 6" tall, just after the stems harden.Tomato plants in the ground!

Believe me, I paid more for them, they are sold like this for commercial growers and they are cuttings from plants that produced, and spent time in a greenhouse environment.

My male Rottie, Lukah, will back down in a heartbeat. It's Shyloh the female I am worried about. Two bitches going head to head isn't pretty. We have a fenced in backyard and a large front yard with a dog run and 2 separate levels in the home that are each gated off from each other. They can be effectively separated for the weekend if need be.

Yes, I had them for 4 weeks before I planted them so they have around 8 or 9 weeks on them, stems are heavy, with luck I think somewhere around 6 weeks to see good growth.

In Virginia yes, Hanover, a 100+ year old variety, Beefsteak Hybrid, when mature very big/bright red.

Another very good tomato is Jersey.
I can send ya a couple sample packs of 2 varieties I think are outstanding flavored and size, and this is a guy who grew up on S. Jersey beefsteak maters.
