Problems making alien coils...

So I've been trying to make alien coils for a while now and it seems no matter what I do something goes wrong. I think my main issue is keeping the 3 core wires parallel I can usually get the first 1/2-1 inch of the wire pretty much perfect but it goes to shit from there I'm starting to think part of the problem might be the teeth in the chuck of my drill are to small when I get the first inch good it's when I move the wire to center it will start to move the core wires I'd leave it off center but the farther I get the harder it gets. I use 26g nichrome 80 for the 3 cores and 36 or 40 gauge kanthal for the wraps (just started using the 36g today but still having issues? It's driving me crazy I'm a pretty experience builder and can practically do fused Claptons in my sleep but these aliens are killing me. Also I've wasted soon much wire lol if anyone has any tips on how to keep the 3 wires parallel I'd greatly appreciate it. I've also tried taping the one end but doest seem to help much...

I use the same method that Mike Terk uses. Just make sure that all 3 core wires are STRAIGHT and have even tension. This is VERY important. As far as applying the de-cored Clapton wire, it's really trial and error. You have to get a feel for it by doing it. There is a lot of wasted wire when learning how to do aliens, but once you "get it", you'll be extremely happy you did. Aliens are some of the best vaping coils that I've ever had.

I feel your pain m8. @CrazyChef is right about it taking awhile. Terks video is good, but their are some additional things you can do that might be helpful.

When you make your 3 core wires, make 1 about 2inches longer. Use some masking tape or ribbon wire to secure both ends of your core wire. Make sure the longer wire is on the outside (not the middle wire), and fasten the long wire to your swivel. When you're all set up, take a hairpin, and place it 2-3 from the Chuck. Now just alien wrap till you hit the hairpin, then slide the hairpin down a few inches and rinse and repeat.

I've actually found it easiest to use Squidoods no swivel method easiest. Only difference that I don't do, is reposition the cores. Dunno why, but no matter what method I use, once I move the wires, it's fckd.

So I tried what he did in the video and it definately is a better way to put it in the chuck but I got a little farther this time under the wiresame moved again lol I guess I just need to keep practicing

Yea originally I tried squidoods and ohmboyoc's video but without the swivels the wire tend to hit my finger from the tension and causes the wire to twist I like the Idea of the hairpin I'm gonna try that next thank you
