What could cause this? Cartos frying

My son has been having a problem with his cartos lasting only a day or less. I have no idea, I don't use cartos.

*same batch of cartos I bought for him from SmokTek last year for Christmas. 1.7Ω single coil
*same juice from TPR, Banana Pudding/Cream Pie, it's been his ADV for well over a year
*same devices, a VAMO and a Tesla vv/vw, not the mechanical

Everything is the same. Got any ideas?

How many volts is he pumping in?

No, it's not priming. He always soaks the cartos in a condom. I'm not sure of the volts usually. He did mention this morning that he was down to 3.1 volts and they're still burning out. The cartos are kept in a plastic bag in a drawer but still...this is SC and things rust whether they want to or not. It's the ONLY thing I can think of. I'm going to go cut one open and see.

Not likely, but possible he got a bad mix- higher VG than he's used to. Thicker juice doesn't wick as well and is more likely to produce dry hits/burns

Dingdingding! Ghost wins. After the useless but educational carto autopsy, I looked at his bottle of juice. They have 70vg/30pg or 60/40. It's definitely 70/30. I can fix that. Problem solved. I hope. :)
