What kind of flavors/makers do you have? There are literally millions of recipes out there, finding one that you like can be challenging though. So with that tell me what type of juices do you normally vape?

I'd browse the recipes posted here on the forum. Read the comments in those threads, in order to find out, how others like the recipe. Try to find what you might like, order the flavors for those recipes, and start mixing. Make just small amounts at first (10-15 ml), so you don't waste too much, in case you don't like it.

What you will find is that there are no easy answers starting out. You can ask everybody what they like but it might not be what you like. That leads to wasting A LOT of money. Just about any question that you can think of to ask has already been asked and answered....probably 100 times. If you're brand new..go through the tips, tricks and tutorial section. You'll find all the links to flavor vendors, equipment suppliers, PG/VG/Nic vendors, calculators and basic steps on getting started. Take the time to wrap your head around the basics. Opening a thread that says "I'm new...tell me everything I need to know" will not get you what you need. There are plenty of great recipes to start you off in the recipe section. As Neunerball said, pick a couple that sound good to you and have positive reviews (I would suggest HIC's recipes)...order those exact flavors and mix small batches until you find what you like. By no means is it "rocket science", and it will save you lots of money in the long run, but you have to do some legwork on your own to be successful. Just my 2 cents...

It is very daunting at first. The best way to get going, as has been said, is to have a look through recipes others have posted and order in the flavours for them. Have a read of the comments before buying anything and see how others feel about them. Soon enough you'll have a massive backlog of recipes you need flavours for! And after a while you'll start coming up with your own magical potions! There is loads of advice here and all over the Internet, read as much if it as you can!

Are you just starting vaping or are you just starting DIY e-Liquids? I personally do not try to recreate other flavors but create my own. I find most store bought are just too much in terms of flavors and % but I did get a Backwoods Blends NY Cheesecake which could be a candidate I want to copy it is that damn good! Absolutely delicious!

Cool site once you translate the page and I wish I wanted to clone e-Liquids but haven't found many I actually like! But that is changing faster than the weather.
That is a good site! They have a good OHW Milk Man clone there that I really like. The percentages on some of them are off the charts though.

Like with any recipe for cooking or mixing DIY I usually never follow the amount of flavors or seasonings exactly but rather go with my tastes.
