My 31st birthday is coming up and I have a $100 budget. I was thinking vape related as its been a fun hobby so far. I am have a LITTLE experience with building. My equipment so far is a Smok RX200, a Koopor 200, a TFV4 with both RTA decks, a Mad Hatter V2 and a Velocity clone. What would you spend $100 on. Specifics please.

You have more hardware than I've ever had at one time. So if you gave me that $100, and I had a LITTLE experience building, I'd get wire and tools. Obviously you might have some of this stuff already, or might not want to go this route. Again, just me...

1. Fully agree with EJ... batteries. Samsung 25r's at Liionwarehouse. 5 bucks each.
2. Ohm meter. USA Ohm Meters are good, but too expensive for your current budget. You can find a throw-away (cheaper) one that a few people suggest, then test the accuracy with a regulated mod, other people's ohm meters and/or Steam-Engine.org (put your coil in and see what it says the ohm reading should be).
3. Wire. I use 26 gauge the most for singles and 28 gauge for double twisted. 32 comes in handy. (I confirmed these sizes with a few of the really good builders here, when I said I wanted to drop down to three sizes only.)
4. Flush cutters. Amazon has a pair for $5 that is very popular. CHP-170.
5. Ceramic tweezers. I like the curved ones better for tweaking coils, versus the sharp tips.
6. Cheap needle nose tweezers. You can probably dig one out of a finger/toenail kit for free.
7. Scissors. Really good pair. I have a Fiskars Soft Touch Micro-Tip Pruning Snip that is one of my favorite vape tools. For cotton cutting. But quite honestly, any old pair will do.
8. Needle nose pliers. You can get a cheap one.
9. I like having my Coil Master jig, but I use it to wrap by hand. And I only make 3mm for all four of our setups. So I probably could have found a 3mm nail.
10. There has to be an even number right? Um. A dollar-store ruler with inches and cm/mm on it. Can't believe how often I use that thing.

Get a RDA like a TM2, Petri Dotmod V2, or a Hanya Postless RDA from 101vape.com. If you get the Hanya, you will have about $70 left to spend on decent Alien or clapton wire, plus you can get a Boreas or Aromamizer Supreme and still have enough left over for a lot of brewski's.

This is a great list.

To tack onto that dollar store trip, look for a precision screwdriver set, mine has 1.7mm-3mm diameters, I use them more than my coilmaster kit. And, while you're there picking up some nail clippers can substitute for the flush cutters while you wait for them to arrive or as a backup if anything happens... point being check out the dang dollar store you can grab so much good junk there!

Just saw that screwdriver set you mentioned for $1 at Dollar General.

I used nail clippers for cotton as well, before I got the scissors.

After the dollar store, it's Harbor Freight for stuff like $2 pliers and/or $7 precision plier sets.

Clean plastic pill bottles as containers. I'll tear apart cotton while watching TV, put the pieces into the containers, and have them ready to shove into coils.

You can just pickup the coilmaster kit for like 35 bucks instead of piece milling it. It has everything you need.. pliers, cutters, ohm meter, tweezers, ceramic tweezers, coil jig, screwdrivers, etc. With the other 65 bucks pickup a Boreas, wire or coils, cotton and go to town.

Or get this and save 20$ comes with all the same stuff for only 15$.

What is V3 ejuice? And are his coils really worth $5.50 each? His coil porn looks good, but do they work good?

I was talking about yours, raymo2u. They look great but seem expensive.

And thanks for the clarification on Verde Valley Vapes. That is cheap.

You think my coils are expensive? Do you know how much I charge....vs how much most coilers charge? I think Im the most affordable unless your getting them free.

The sale is $25 for 4 PAIRS/SETS of coils of your choice....thats 8 coils for $25...try asking for a single pair of these types of coils from anyone else and tell me what they say ;)

Honestly I have never looked into buying premade coils. I'll take your word for it. I am new to building and replace/tinker with my coils every few days and that seems expensive for how often I do that. I suppose I wouldn't have to do that with quality coils though... How long do coils usually last for? I know it depends but whats the average?

If you dryburn them and rinse them when they cooled down they can easily last months, Ive had a set of fused claptons that lasted longer then my membership at this forum...they recently were taken out due to how they appeared but would still be functional if I didnt. If you like to make your own then I suggest keep it up, theres nothing better then making your own creative coils and using them...Its why I do this, Im not in it for the money since the wire cost and time is high, Im here so everyone can try them at a affordable rate.

I have a pair of Aliens I've been running on since February 18th I think it was, still going strong. Personally I use lower quality wire than Raymo and Chef, so my own coils will last something like 1-2months. I'd expect the Aliens I have to be getting a little gross at this point but they still look like a week old coil, I'd be surprised if they don't last at least another month.
