Sony VTC 3, 4, or 5

ive been using the Sony VTC 4s fora few months now and really like them. Liionwholesale has the 3 on sale. Is it a good battery or is the 4 better. Then is the 5 better than the 4? I run them in my mechs if that helps. One is a tube, a Noisy Cricket, and a parallel mech. Thank you!!

I used to use 3s and 4s, i like 4s more because of the extra mah and i replaced the 3s with hb6s.
Its a good cell though, the 3s. Dont get the 5s, those dont perform as well as the other 2 imo

Are the hb6s better? I've just heard the Sonys are the best so that's what I've been using.

Ok I have Samsung 25r and Sony VTC4s right now. I need to order some more batteries so I thought I'd ask before I buy. I saw where @Jon@LiionWholesale was talking about the LG HD2C and said its a good alternative because they're gonna quit carrying the Sonys so I did t know if I should Stockholm Sonys or try these new LGs. They're about half the price so I wasn't sure.

The 3 and 4 series Sony are 30A, the 5s are 20 - keep that in mind.

I have had a few of each of these over the last few years. I didn't draw more than about 20A. I wouldn't buy a 3 again because of the low mAh. My 4s and 5s were great, I still have two 5s in service. Early last year I got a couple of 25R to compare to the Sonys because the Sonys were hard to get and found they perform really well for me.

I needed to buy more batts late last year and did some research to see what was new and might be better. I wanted to get something I could push to 20 amps but still have reasonable mAh. I decided to go with 25R.

They've been working well for me so far and I'm happy with them.

I have 6 25r, 4 vcts, and my wife has 4 lg hg2. I just want to get to where I own the same brand and type of everything. I saw where @Jon@LiionWholesale said they're gonna quit carrying Sony so I'm thinking about going the lg route now. Damn. Just when I think I have a plan. Something changes

I already replaced (i.e. gave away) all eight of my VTC4 in favor of the HD2C and will be picking up four more from Liion Wholesale soon...

The 3s are getting hard to find. They have more ampacity and less capacity than the 4s. The 5s are an excellent all around battery in the 20A division, but there are alternatives with equal specs and lower prices. Unless you just need the high ampacity of the 3s, I'd buy the LG HD2Cs over the VTC4s right now.
