i recently decided to delve into the world of mech mods, i am quite knowledgeable on the matter but i would like third opinions. the mech mod i'm using houses 2 18650 batteries ( sony VTC4) connected in parallel. i would like to know how low i will be able to build with these batteries and any safety concerns i should have going forward? thanks

You should be able to build down to ~.1Ω on that rig, if you really have VTC4s and they are in good shape. That said, I very rarely go below .25 on a mech for any reason. After that, voltage drop and I²R losses start to mount and you're wasting the extra power heating the mod and the batteries, not the coil. If you really want more than 80-90 watts, go regulated.
