Internal Batt Mod

So, here's my situation. I am going to be going to summer camp for 10 days at the end of June. While there, I won't have access to power, except for some micro usb stations set up specifically for charging phones and the like. This means that I won't be able to take a battery charger down and charge any single batteries for the entire time I'm down there. I will need something that will last me all day, or longer, and charge only through usb. I don't vape at high wattage - usually in the 30 to 45 watt range, but, even doing that, my Cuboid barely lasts me an entire day with 2 LG HE4s, so, the more mAh, the better.

I already know that I won't be taking any tanks down there, just a couple of drippers. I usually run those between .2 and .3 resistance. Tanks would be too much of a pain since it's all rocky and one little slip up could cause the tank to break, and then I'm SOL.

So, what I'm looking for is a good sized internal battery, ability to run down to .15, and the cost has to be reasonable. I can't really go above, so, $50 or so. This rules out DNA boxes, so no need to even look at those. So, within those parameters - any suggestions? I don't own much and tend to stick with one or two until they die. I've thought about the new Coolfire IV TC100W and the Tesla Nano - either 100 or 60. Am I leaving anything else out?

good luck homie, I would check out innokin, they tend to hace the better selection in terms of built in batt mods

might also want to lookinto a portable back up battery.

Portable power bank is actually in the plans as well. What I'm figuring on doing is charging the power bank during the day, and then charging the mod off of that at night, so it's not left out to the elements, since the charging station isn't enclosed.

Would LOVE to be able to own a DNA, but it just isn't in the books for me. Just way too far out of my price range. Been leaning to Innokin, just wanted to see if anybody else had some insight on what else is out there that I may not have considered.

I'd just get two LG-HG2, and charge them via the USB of the Cuboid, while at the camp.

I like the power bank idea. Then you start the day with that and the mod charged up instead of just the mod. Gives you more power and options.

I had thought about that, but, I'm just not too thrilled about charging them in the mod. I should also mention that this does give me another reason to get another mod. Wife already thinks I spend way too much on this "hobby" as it is.

do both! those lg batts will give you loads of run time, and then get a huge power bank.
you can even get one that can solar charge and has 60,000 mah.(don't rely on the solar, but its a nice bit of insurance)

Boy scouts. My son just crossed over from the Cub Scout Pack to the Boy Scout troop that I was in when I was a boy. He is going to the camp that I went to, for the first time. I am NOT missing out on that. I was his Cubmaster with the pack for 3 years, and am now an assistant Scoutmaster with the troop. This camp was my yearly vacation from the time I was 11 until I was 21. I served on staff when I was 15 for an entire summer. I love it down there and have been waiting many years for my son to be old enough to go down and discover his own love for it. He has been to summer camps before for scouts and loved them, and they weren't nearly as good as this camp is.

If u have a luv4 charger just put 4 18650 in it that are charged the u can use the usb plug on it to charge your device. So like me I have 20 batts bring them with and when the four are dead in chRger swap them out. I did this when I went camping

I have a Tesla Nano 100w Steampunk and love the hell out of it. I wouldn't get the standard one, but the steampunk design is so well designed that it makes a pretty boring mod awesome. V NW has it in stock last i checked. Might also want to look at the cuboid mini kit. The tank is as leak proof as it comes and its got good power.

To get full charging speed you would want to plug it into a 5V/2.1A port, which shouldn't be hard to find these days as most cell phones require that. Hope you get something figured out!

So, reviving an old thread here. I think I am going to go with either the Coolfire IV plus, or, the VTwo if it's out before I leave. The 5000mah battery in the VTwo would keep me going for several days - I vape between 30 and 45 watts, depending on the atty. Next is going to be the topper - tank or RDA. Has anybody had an experience with the CoolFire IV that would steer me that way instead of leaning toward the VTwo? I know the toggle switch isn't ideal, but the battery size is what is leading me in that direction. Along with upgradability.

Spend the extra bucks on an 18650 or 26650 box and charger. Mines going to get the Kayfun back and the dripper is going on a new mod TBD soon.

I have a dual 18650 and two single 18650 mods. I can only get a day out of my Cuboid, and not even a day out of my Eleaf 60w. Since I am not going to be inside, at all, for 10 days, I don't really want to expose my batteries to the heat and humidity that I know we will get in Missouri at the end of June. I just want something that I know will last me a day or longer. Then with the powerbank, I can charge it every couple of days and then charge my mod off of it at night when needed. That way it is always with me, and I don't have to hike about 3/4 a mile just to get to my car to have a vape when it charges. I am also trying to keep the gear down to the minimum, as it means more stuff to keep track of, lose and/or break. If something goes wrong, my brother can bring me down something when he comes down for a few days. Just wanting to bring maybe a couple of unicorn bottles, a back up bottle or two, and a topper. Which one I haven't figured out yet. I have a Griffin, so that's a no. I have a couple of drippers, but not sure if I want to deal with that either. Thinking about either trying out the new notch coils on my Cubis, or maybe grabbing an iSub tank.

The cool fire 4 is a great mod but the battery life is terrible. I had the same thought for a recent trip to Puerto Rico of trying to take as little gear as possible. The mod works great but it was a pain in the ass to have to go in and out of the beach house to have a vape. After 30 -45 minutes of vaping it needed to be charged. Good luck with your hunt

I just got back from a week on the beach...Sand is a mod killer. I took my standby backup out on the sand, cleaned the switch hourly and the connector whenever it got sandy BUT discovered a wonderful solution to battery storage. this is what I bought.

Go to a pharmacy and look for an Insulin Storage caddy....They are usually cooled and waterproof. will keep the batteries safe and your gear organized.

I just tossed it in the beach bag with a lint free rag and a small brush to get sand out of the moving parts.

I can charge my phone while I'm down there, but charging my batteries will not be as easy. The power station for phone charging is a power bank with USB ports for connecting charge cables. My battery charger doesn't take power from USB. I could charge a powerbank tho, so, that's why I'm looking for an internal battery that will at least last me a day. My HE4s don't last me a full day in my Cuboid, so I would be charging too often for it to be worth bringing it down. Plus batteries and cases are just another thing that I would need to keep track of.

I use a XTAR VC4 Charger, It will charge just about any battery (Li-ion, Ni-MH), works great, and runs off a USB jack/brick. Ecig.com had it on sale for $17 and change but they are oos. Here's a link to the charger at FastTech (in stock)

Edit Can't you charge the batteries in the Cuboid via the USB jack? I don't have that mod, so that's why I'm asking.
