Heres a weird request... I wanna do a twisted 24 (dual coil), .45-.50 for my Noisy Cricket. I'll most likely be doing this on my Doge X2 comp Atty, as there's lots of room to work with and huge post holes. Actually, I'll do it on my Doge V3, it stays cooler. Anyways, since I've yet to find an online calculator for that build, does anyone know the wrap count I need? I don't have much wire left and need to get it right before my new wire shows up. Thanks!

Assuming Kanthal. You'll need each coil to be between .9 and 1 ohm. You're looking at 11-12 wraps each for that, using 3mm as the ID.
Can you twist some thinner-gauge wire, like 28?

From Steam Engine's Wire Wizard:

Wait. What the?! Steam-Engine has twisted on there?! How'd I miss that??? Yikes. I must be blind.

I only have 24ga now. I might have to pick up some 26ga or 28ga to pull this off. I don't think my attys have the room for a 11/10 wrap.

I've never measured out the pitch before. I used to drill until the wire broke, now I'm far more "gentle", leaving greater spacing.

I used to drill until the wire broke, now I'm far more "gentle", leaving greater spacing.

Twisting until breaking worked well for 32 gauge. For the larger/stronger gauges, instead of snapping, the wire starts kinking, if that makes sense. Wrapping over itself and bending. Messy.

I do maybe six feet at a time. My wife holds the drill and I hold the other end with a needle nose pliers. The excess tension unwinds after letting go of the pliers, and I keep forgetting to deal with that part more carefully. So the wire thrashes around the room for a second and usually smacks me in the face.
