First vape and accidental stumble into sub-ohm

Hi everyone. I'm am completely new to this forum and vaping in general. I do apologise if the below question has been answered before, if so please point me in the right direction.

So my initial plan to get into vaping and stop my dependence on nicotine from cigarettes and cigars whenever things at work get rocky. I did a lot of research into the types of mods that would fit my preferences and settled on the nugget : https://101vape.com/vvvw-box-mods/1072-nugget-1000mah-50w-tc-box-mod-by-artery.html
This tiny low powered design seemed to suit me, especially since it was on offer. I then looked for a tank and got the Cubis :https://101vape.com/tanks-rba-rda/918-joyetech-cubis-sub-ohm-tank.html

Most of my research had come from Beginner guide Youtube videos, which almost never mentioned Sub-ohm. Delving deeper, I have been bombarded with warnings of exploding mods, instantly combusting coils and soul eating sub-ohm talk. While I get the gist of what sub-ohm is I feel most explanations on this subject is about drip systems and replaceable batteries. Can someone look at these products and tell me what to expect before they arrive here, in a week?

The Mod you chose can fire sub-ohm coils. Regulated mods don't blow up. The oils you refer to are eJuice or simply "Juice". The cubis is a good tank and will provide a lot of vapor. My concern is that you chose a mod that has a rather small battery capacity. You will be able to use the temperature control option with the Cubis and the SS coil heads and the Nugget. Let us know when you get it and we'll help you get it set up and vaping.

Thank you so much for your reply. That puts me at ease. If it makes any difference, I ordered spare 0.5 ohm coils with the tank. For ejuice, I ordered Andromeda from Space Jam and Unicorn Puke from Lost Art Liquids. Oh and yes it is a very small battery, but I am a very light smoker. I use nicotine as the barrier to stop be from socking customers in the face. I would be surprised if I have to recharge the battery every night with my extremely light use.

Thank you once again, I look forward to being part and sharing with this new community :)

Even with being a light smoker, you may find the battery life of the mod you got to be a little unsatisfactory. The milliamp hour rating suggests it will give you about ten hours of use. Granted one does not use the battery except in short pulses. That noted, ten hours of use goes by quickly even with short pulses spaced over time.

I know the one I suggest below may seem a bit more costly, but long term it works out to be affordable,

https://101vape.com/mods/1073-wismec-presa-tc-100w-box-mod.html

You will need to buy an 18650 battery for this one. I would suggest buying a pair of these batteries.

If you buy a set of them the vendor sends you a nice case for them. Please use the case when you transport batteries not in the mod. Do not carry loose batteries in your pockets with oh say keys, loose change, screws, washers. This often can lead to bad incidents where someone may be hurt.

I would also suggest a charger for the batteries. http://www.rtdvapor.com/xtar-mc1-plus/

No, I do not work for any of these vendors, nor accept any form of commission from them. These are simply what to me seem reputable vendors, products that I might use & so suggest to others based on that alone.

Thank you for taking the time showing me the products. Yes I might be completely misjudging the product but since I already ordered I'm going to give it a try when it arrives. Live and learn from mistakes, I guess. I can always upgrade later on.

Thanks for the advice about the batteries, I'll be sure to keep that in mind when I upgrade to a mod with replaceable batteries.

You're gonna fit in great around here!

I've heard nothing but good things about the Nugget. For what it is, it will produce what you need, then if you decide you to want to upgrade, you'll have it for back up. I wish they had these when I started out. Sure beats a crappy ego battery that breaks in a couple months.

Laf! I tell people it keeps me from getting stabby. Some don't realize I'm not joking ;)

Just because it can't be said enough - like Morely posted, keep the batteries in container. You know all those stories on the news about ecig batteries catching fire or exploding in people's pants pockets? Not having them in a case is what causes that. Batteries tend to not like dead shorts

You'll do just fine with the rig you ordered although, as suggested, you may find the battery life lacking. Holler at us when it gets in and we'll help you set it up.

Hi everyone!

It's been a while. So sorry for the delay... So many things to do since I'll be going to university in August. So here is an update on my vape journey:

I was due to go on my vacation and my package arrived one day before I left. I was not sure about traveling by plane with it as I was stopping through Sharjah, so I ended up leaving them at home. If anyone is also wondering, I found a sign at the airport which said vapes have to be in your hand luggage and not checked in.
I arrived back home and began vaping it and playing around with it. (You can see the images below) I'm very happy with the ejuice flavors I chose. Andromeda by Space Jam is a great chill with friends kind of flavor while Unicorn puke by Lost Art is great pick me up in a long boring day. I can taste both these flavors very well. I have some issues with the cubis tank flooding the coil (using the 0.5ohm coil) but I can sort this out and love tinkering with it. Looking forward to an RTA as my next purchase. The Nugget, I would like to inform everyone is performing beautifully! I just drop it in any pocket of my suit and I can just forget about it till I need it. I have no problems with the battery life vaping at work between 30-40W. Plus doing a desk job I could always charge it, if I ever need it. I was wondering though, is there any issue with charging it with a power bank? Haven't tried yet but I got a 20800mah in my bag at all times.
Finally I got two more ejuices, Fruitastic from vapejoose (someone was selling it cheap because he didn't like it) and Muffinman from One Hit Wonder. I didn't like the Fruitastic initially but after messing around with the Watts and airflow, I really like it in short vape sessions. For some reason that juice is delicious when you're drinking tea. Finally Muffin man which I was very excited about, was kind of disappointing. I can't seem to get the flavor out of it. I loved the milkman when I tried my friend's. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Looking forward to hearing from you guys!
