Keeping juice out of my mod

Protank mini 3 leaks a little but my iclear x.1 leaks even more. I've tried putting cotton on top and/or bottom of the coils to fill the voids. It helps but I still have to take the tank off a couple of times to clean the connection out before I use the full tank. I love the iclear x.1. It vapes perfectly until I get so much juice in the connection that it gurgles and loses airflow. For now I use an ego/510 adapter on top of my nemesis so the juice stays in there instead of getting into the battery.
I just found out about the new BVC for the aerotanks but I just dropped about $100 on vaping gear so it will be another month or so before I buy one. I've heard some nice things about them. Especially with the new coils.

probably going to happen when using ego threads for a mech, i hate ego threaded tanks for that fact. Your the second person I've seen in two days that are using tanks style attys on mechs, most of the coils are made to use with lower watts, they do make a .8 coil that works with the aero tanks. The protank !! has just always had issues from what I read, the mini is not designed to use on a mech mod without a kick, and an adapter, yet it will still leak due to the fire pin being exposed in the ego style tanks. Grab an Aero tank and some .8 coils and you will probably do a lot better.
Yeah I use a kick with the tanks. Doesn't vape worth a crap at 3.7v. I just got the mech to use in shorty mode because the ego "baton" made me feel silly. I use a 18350 with the kick when I go out and carry another 350 AND a 650 just in case.
As for using the ego adapter, The iclear x.1 is 510 threads but I use the adapter just to let the juice leak into it instead of into the mod. (Basically a 510 coupling) Looks bad because it's smaller than the tank and adds unwanted height. I do add a black beauty ring on that part to match as best as it can. If the x.1 wasn't so damn tasty!!
Now that I think about it, I have a protank 2 that I put an airflow adapter (probably an aero base clone) on which serves the same purpose. The airflow adapter catches the juice before it gets down into the mod. It's better for me too because it keeps the tank the same size and doesn't add any height. It replaced the original base so it's similar to your suggestion. I guess what I'm looking for is something universal that would stay on my mod as opposed to each tank. I use about 3-5 tanks throughout the day because I switch flavors so much. Plus I'm new to vaping so I'm still looking for what works for me. Thanks for your input.

Just about anything that gets it's airflow through the 510 connector can leak, you either start buying q-tips or go to something that has airholes in the body. Just the nature of the beast. Time to try a Kayfun!
I do recommend the Aspire Nautilus BVC, I been using them for a few weeks for when i am on the go and they been great so far..... I hate hate the Kager mini's, "I had nothing but problems with the leaking and flooding on those tanks. My opinion
Thanks. Actually I just got one this week! It's a clone and the draw was very tight. I drilled out the center post and side inlet and it's a little better now. I need to work on my fill technique though. Lots of gurgling right afterwards. Have to blow it out. It's fine after that but I probably lost 2 ml on the first 2 fills. The flavor is definitely the best but honestly the iclear x.1 is pretty damn close. IMO. It just leaks and can't rebuild the coils! Damn you innokin!!
