Hey guys, so I've been making my own juice for about a month in a half now. I've only made one delicious juice and that was a lemon meringue pie. I could really use some help, some base recipes I could tweak with the current flavors I have and the like. I don't want to be vaping on unflavored here for too much longer! Here's the flavors I currently have:
  • CAP Sweet Strawberry, CAP Banana, CAP Blueberry, CAP Sweet Cream, CAP Bavarian Cream
  • TFA Honeysuckle, TFA Green Tea, TFA Vanillin
  • FA Apple Pie, FA Black Cherry, FA Lemon Sicily, FA Cookie, FA Meringue, FA Marshmallow
Any base recipes from some more advanced DIYers, tips with any specific flavoring here, steeping advice, or any recommendations on flavorings I could buy that would complement the ones I currently own would be absolutely phenomenal, and will save me a fair bit of time and money.

In advance, I thank anyone who takes the time to read this and reply. Hope you're having a good one!

You've got what sound like a lot of good standalone flavors in the fruits and green tea. Cookie in low doses (think around 1.5-2%) is good with almost anything.

At a month and a half in I was mainly mixing flavors standalone at varying percentages, getting to know what I had and developing my own idea as to how it would pair with other things, or following pre-established recipes from other vapers - creating my own recipes didn't come until I understood what my base flavors were and slowly started mixing in complementary flavors like the creams and whatnot. So my advice is going to be work on single flavors for now - make small batches but not too small - maybe 10 ml so you can try a tank now, and if it's no good try another in a week or so to gather notes on what aging does to a flavor.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I think I've been overstepping my experience with making juice, making too complex juices, trying them, and then removing / adding what I think is missing. Has only worked out in my favor once and that was with the lemon meringue. I'm going to scrap most of my recipes and write down the bad notes just so I can remember them, but I'm going to start sticking with the basics.

I'm looking for fruity / creamy combinations mostly. I have two RDA's so trying them out isn't a problem anymore! I'm really bad with waiting for steep times though... it's agonizing to say the least. Those bottles of juices steeping in my cabinet... taunting me each time I go to shake them.. it's almost impossible not to sneak a drip! Then I end up getting tired of unflavored and just vaping the whole bottle and regretting the decision afterwards.... lol.

I'm going to be making a flavoring order here in the next week or so. Any recommendations? My potentials so far are as follows: FA Strawberry, FA Apple, CAP Vanilla Custard DX, CAP Graham Cracker, TFA Whipped Cream, TFA Ethyl Maltol.

Of the flavors you listed, I personally use a lot more TFA Strawberry Ripe, FA Fuji, and TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust than the alternatives. I'm a big fan of CAP Vanilla Custard V2 (though others swear only by V1, which I've never tried due to diacetyl avoidance), I don't use a whole lot of TFA Whipped Cream or EM, but I have them.

Learn your fruits on their own - then add a little Sweet Cream to one batch, a little Bavarian to another. You'll be able to pick up the accents a lot better that way, although you'll have more shake-n-vape luck with fruits on their own, while the creams will need at least a little aging. I speed that up by filling a sink basin of hot tap water (not boiling hot, just hot off the tap), dropping my bottles in, and shaking every 15 minutes or so until the water cools. An hour of that seems to correspond to 2-3 days' natural aging.

Some of my favorite fruits include FA Forest Mix, Pomegranate, Black Currant, and Bilberry. Must-have creams are FA Catalan, Vienna, and Cream Fresh...

CAP Blueberry 2-4% (or use CAP Sweet Strawberry 4-5%)
CAP Sweet Cream 2%
CAP Bavarian 0.5%
FA Meringue 0.5%
FA Marshmallow 0.5%
(optional)TFA Vanillin 1% (I could never get this one to do much compared to the other Vanillas)
(Need some good Vanillas/Creams for this to really shine IMO).
(Like TFA Vanilla Swirl, TFA Dairy Milk, TFA French Vanilla Deluxe, DIYFS French Vanilla, & INW Shisha Vanilla).

CAP Blueberry 2% (or CAP Sweet Strawberry 3%)
FA Cookie 2% (INW Biscuit is also a good sub here)
(I'd also recommend getting some INW Shisha Strawberry & TFA Strawberry Ripe)

These also work nice with fruits...
CAP/TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
CAP/TFA Vanilla Custard
