Does anyone know if the Tobeco SMPL mod is any good or recommend other?

I want to pick up another mech and was looking at the Tobeco SMPL mod. Does anyone have experience with that or maybe know another brand to recommend?

I looked at the A mod by wotofo and found too many bad things. I also looked at the stingray but there are so many it makes it difficult to know what's good.

I've had no negative experience with Tobeco, or Infinite products so far. As for the Stingray mech mod, I bought two from FT (CF & SS) made by Kepler (https://m.fasttech.com/products/2019601), they are awesome, and of excellent quality. However, I bought the insulated hybrid adapters for safety reasons (https://m.fasttech.com/products/1958300) as well.

My buddy has a stingray x. It's nice, but the button sucks. Recessed buttons are the way to go in my opinion. Love my SMPL. Hope you find a good one.

The insulated hybrid caps can be problematic as they have very little threading in the center hole. My friend that has the stingray x ordered the three pack of those (included one each of ss, copper and brass) and they only work with certain attys. just a note.

Thanks for the heads up! I haven't used my Stingrays as hybrids yet, but I'll keep an eye on it when I do.

I know of 3 that have had problems with tanks. (clearo tanks)....Make sure the centerpin of the tank is not flush and dont put it in your pants pocket with a battery and tank on it.


(Dont hate me, 1 idiot couldnt figure out why it suddenly wasnt vaping and hot after carry it in his pocket and the other 2 couldnt understand why the batteries had big holes arc'd in them....I know of 2 that made national news going off in faces with a Protank II and an Aspire...Just make sure the tanks center pin is not flush and vape the heck outta it....)

SMPL is a great mod, no need to constantly adjust switch or anything else. Put your atty first, then the battery with + toward the atty, and screw in the switch with your finger, finishing with your fingernail until it stops. No reason to use a coin or screw driver. Some people are anxious about lack of safety, but I don't find it to be an issue. Safety.... Unscrew the switch few turns and it will not fire even if you want it to. I wish someone makes aluminum SMPL with solid tube.
