Moving this to bottom feeders ;-)

The Tobeco velocity mini should work with the dripbox. I use one on a Reo, and it works well.

Can you send link for both? Plz try to find on fasttech

Drip box has a picky 510. Too short it won't connect. Too long, you'll collapse the innards of the 510.

Good luck

I haven't had a problem with the dripbox 510. I don't doubt that it's possible it could get funkified - it's a chinabox...v1.
But mine's running great.
I've thrown 4 different RDA's on it - and never even built the one it came with.

That Velocity is probably the cheapest. I had a problem with mine - when I swapped in the BF pin, the post got all wobbly.

I've used a Sapor BF (pretty good) a BF Solstice (undecided) and a BF Narda clone (outstanding). Also, right now, an M-Atty clone (Catfish BF).
These were all like $40-$50 tho.
For the Narda or M-Atty - they're both out of stock, but considering another run - let 'em know if you want one.

Wow! My apologies if this seems a bit corny or such. I just noticed you're a moderator. *chuckles*
No disrespect intended. In fact quite the opposite. I did not know you were a moderator, yet here you are moderating and doing so politely, respectfully and nearly unnoticed. Thank you for being an excellent moderator. :) It's wonderful having moderators like you.

Did you drill a hole through the center post for BF with the REO?

Thanks!

The velocity mini comes with an extra BF pin.
At least the one I got from eciggity did.

Thanks!

I was looking at the Fastech one Amanda linked to and only saw...

PACKAGE CONTENTS 1*RDA Atomizer, 1*510 Drip Tip Adapter, 1*Allen Key, 2*Coils, 4*Screws, 3*O-rings

At that Fastech price, I think, if necessary, I could come up with a drill & bit. :)
Certainly would be easier not to though....

Edit: looking over at your suggestion, I did see...
1x Velocity RDA Bottom Feed 510 Pin
...listed at the one from eciggity

Btw, the new kanger 160 is probably the best mod I've ever used. So in love. Battery life is a bit garbage thoufh but it's great otherwise. The drip box has nothing on it.

Waiting to get the 160w, but currently have the original dripbox. Switched out the stock RDA for a Tobecco mini Velocity and it's way better now. It came with the bottom feeder pin already. The Tobecco version of the mini is the only one I've seen listed that comes with the feeder pin.

The Hobo v3 comes with a bottom feeder pin as well.

Where did you buy your Tobeco Mini Velocity? I would really like to pick one up that I know will have the bottom feeder pin included.

Edit - I did notice eciggity listed, but is that where you got yours?

No, I haven't...
And I thought I might squonk out the airslots, as it's pretty low profile - but that hasn't happened either.
I'm thinking bout getting another - even though I have too many RDA's.
Trying to figure out if Fasttech and 3F are the same or not - they LOOK it, except for the writing on the bottom. Wouldn't care, but I have other stuff sitting in a Fasttech cart...
:D

I am really considering getting one of these - have you experienced much spit back from this RDA ?

Have you used the ultem cap as well? I just ordered 1 of these for my brass coppervape.
Sorry for the thread jack but I had to get 1 of these!

The Ultem cap has the same side airflow slots, AND this weird top airflow - you turn the tip to uncover more slots.
If you want HUGE airflow, it'd probably be good - but it's a bit much for me!
So I haven't really used it - I've got the metal cap on, and even then I run the AFC about 80% open...

That's a bummer I was planning on using the cap on it as well. Oh well looks like a great rda wither way.
Thanks for the link, I watched a couple reviews and bought it. Hopefully epacket doesn't take a month but I have a velocity v2 bf for now to use.

Does anyone have a lowpro bf rda? I have 1 on the way and can't wait to try it out. I was just curious as to what others experience with this was and if anyone has the cap accessory top. I can't find one of these caps anywhere. I have been in contact with vapor dna and they sent me a link to the manufacturer, whom I've emailed also.

This link is to my thread inquiring about the cap.

Hi
I have a Reo standard not LP
Is yours a LP?
Do you think it will work on mine?
I do believe the Tobeco Velocity Mini is 22mm, so no, it would not fit a non-LP Reo unless you give the Reo a "haircut".
The "standard" Reo was designed back in the days when cartomizers were popular, & they need a 14mm or smaller atty like the RM2, Cyclone, Chalice, Hellfire Viper....

Even the clones of the Velocity V2, and one of them a standard Velocity, the Velocity minis on FastTech come with bf pins. As a reminder & note, you need to unscrew a tiny grub screw out of the bottom end of the positive pin. Don't pull my mistake and squonk away and not figure out why you're not getting juice. *chuckles*

Hey, @Train Kind of got my interest with these low profile decks. Can a person build & use say 28awg Kanthal vertical coils in these, or is the top cap too close down on it to risk shorting? *sits imaging three vertical coils acting like three mile island and vaping off of it* If not that's alright, too. I might still want to consider one of these low profile decks. Hear tale that a reduced chamber seems keen to hammer more flavor, not doubting that either as I can see how it would. Sure the Velocity is great & all but well, person needs to have options.

You can use an adapter well with a Reo Grand or Reo Grand style and use 22mm or larger diameter decks.

http://ecblendflavors.com/adapter-smoktech-ego-to-510/

There's one which ought to work effectively. I got one with a Smok X-Pro M22 kit. It was a pleasant surprise for me that it worked. It is currently on my Reo Grand clone that I did not file down to make into a Reo Low Profile mod. I'm topping it off with a Velocity V2 deck. Granted it's extra parts to get there, still gets there. :)

Watch though, some adapters are closed pins. You'll easily see which is which. All in, adapters don't cost too much & might be useful otherwise.

There's someone I bump into on forums, who's a huge Pancake fan - he's got multiple authentics, and builds verticals in there...
(@inswva, it's you, right?)

Yep, that's me. I run dual verticals in all three of my Pancakes. Works very, very well.

I'll have to try this^^
I hope this saves my pancake. I haven't found a build I like in it yet. It doesn't help it's very tough to build on (for me).

:) Awesome! :) Shows me exactly what I wondered about. I could build some decent verticals. Also I see while a third might be possible, two will be the better call. Even that would rock.

Velocity V2 works great. Tsunami 24, Cthulu Hastur works but i had to find a longer pin because the one that came with it was way way too short. Should have asked though. original dripbox or 160?

Use a hand held non-powered mandrel. Wind your wire round it first. Then attach the legs, the portion left over from the coils on each end, to the screws. Use your mandrel put through the coil to help set your coil in place. Know this might sound simplified or "duh" obvious, not meaning it in a belittling way though.

Not taken that way at all. Thanks, I appreciate the help. I've been spoiled with the velocity deck and have been having a tough time with the pancake.

Might find out I'm spoiled by the velocity decks too. *chuckles* I was trying to find a video showing a basic tutorial on how to build verticals on the pancake deck, to no avail. I think the way I'm describing ought to work out alright though. Might be frustrating trying to get the legs to hook on the grub screws. Some trail and error will probably lead us to finding an easy method to it.

Only recently, genuinely learned more in depth about using rayon as wick. I had been doing a few things what made it sub par. Got it sorted out and now I get better vaping all around. Put two vertical coils on my velocity deck this morning. The single coil was doing fine, merely felt a desire to swap out.
