IPV 4 is finally dying, new mod time... suggestions?

like the title says... wanting at least 150w and all TC/TCR modes. i have looked at...

IPV 5
RX200S
Cuboid
Koopor Plus
Sig 213
Vaperesso Tarot
and a few others i can't think of right off... what's the best one? i'd like accurate and working SS TC and would like to keep it aroud $50... thanks in advance...

Don't waste your money on the sig 213, lots of people having problems with it using TC, I only use it in power mode and even have problems with misfires.

IPV5 you can pick up real cheap now, and personally not heard a lot of complaints about it.

I have the Sig 213 and really like it but I would avoid it if you are looking for TCR function. The pre-set for 316L works really well (the only one I've tried) but the TCR is supposed to be wonkey. If you really want one, I'd wait for the Fuchai version, then wait some more to see if there are any issues. The RX200s is nice but I don't see it myself getting one just to have a nicer screen. I also own the IPV5 and really like it. You can find one on ecig.com really cheap right now; I think around $40. Those are my opinions based on my experiences, hope it helps.

and, does anyone know what the SS Crown coils are? i've read that they are 316 and 304 both.

Supposedly they're 316 SS with nickel legs but they vape fine on all my mods with a 316 setting. I also use them on my Ipv5 with the above referenced tcr.

excellent, thank you... i think i'll be gettting the IPV 5... would love to have a DNA 200 or G2, but both are way out of my price range.

heard way too many complaints on the koopor plus...Ima lookin at the ipv 6 and the istick 200

I've had the IPV D2 and 4S. I still use those things and they have been drug all over the place with me. I work outdoors year round and they have seen it all as far as abuse. This IPV 5 really seems in another league. I've got two brand new RX 200s but the IPV 5 is my most reliable mod, especially in temp control. Of course having had so many P4U devices I'm accustomed to the menu system. It feels really solid in the hand and just works.

Just got my IPV 5 today, put my Crown on and set TCR to .00092 for the .25 ohm SS coil... The pulsing is atrocious and I have to crank it all the way to 572 degrees to get a remotely decent vape and the pulsing feels like the vapor is rapid during into my mouth... Am I doing something wrong? Did I get a dud mod?

Try .00094 and 100j but bring it back to 440-460

The crown coils can be tough to dial in.

That's weird because I have 5 Crowns and all I run is the .25 coil and I get no pulsing at all. Try bumping the tcr up a bit to see if it gets better. Is it a new coil? Old coil? Maybe the coil is on its way out. Sometimes with the Crown coils when they're about to go I either get a weak flavorless vape or a burnt taste but definitely one or the other. I'm at a loss here. How does it vape in power mode?

Just tried it on my RX and it works. And, just tried my wife's Crown with an ni200 coil on the IPV 5 and it works great... Just can't get the ss coil to work worth a hoot...

Well, just wound up an SS coil setup for my Crius... Same thing... So, I guess the mod is going back...
