To share my experience of getting ripped off when I sent a package overseas, the USPS doesn't have the ability to "track" a package. They could only say if it has been delivered or not. Once it leaves US soil it's a crap shoot, that's what I was told when I sent a package and never received what was promised.
On the other side of the coin, this person was asking for mods to be sent to him so he could fix them and PIF them to service men and women. I was ready to do my spring cleaning and send him my broken crap. I know I few people that did and here I was feeling guilty because I haven't done it yet. Faith or ??

I hope this wasn't anyone in the service, if it was I apologize on their behalf. Tracking is offered to all deployed service members, but there are some "dead" zones in regards to tracking it.
When shipping from the states, USPS tracking will update until it reaches either Chicago, LA, or San Francisco. From there it will transit to a holding Facility (the FPO/DPO/APO zip code) in the region of the military destination until it can be arranged transportation to the specific unit.
Unfortunately it will not be tracked during this process, but it will update when the holding facility gets it. 9 times out of ten they will mark it as delivered at this point.
One the reverse side, when we ship to the states tracking won't pick up until it hits one of the points of entry (again, Chicago/LA/ San Fransico)
I do however highly encourage anybody sending over seas to pay the extra for priority because that is always handled by Air transportation.
First class and below has the option to be transported via land or sea... Leaving more grey area.
Just some info for those who might not know. And I am sorry again
