Sorry if this is in wrong spot. Didn't know where to put this. But I didn't want to reveal my liquid I was working on until I had it decent. But, I wanted to try and make a raspberry cheesecake with a hint of chocolate. The first and second batches were the same. Weird taste on the exhale and aftertaste. I thought this was the chocolate, so I used Coco Puffs instead. Same thing. Could it be I'm using too much cheesecake? I'm using 25% The raspberry is at a small percent so I don't think that's an issue. Any help is welcome!

In my experience, any mix involving cream flavors needs time to age before the cream flavors come to the forefront. Chocolates and fruits will stand out before your cheesecake does. Tuck that away for a couple three weeks and you'll likely taste more cheesecake once the flavors have time to "mingle."

25% of any flavor is really high IMO, but still not knowing what brand you're using, can't help much further. Dilute your mix by 2 or 3 times.

25% Of TPA flavors in any mix is usually WAY to high. That much flavoring can bring about unusual chemical vaping notes and actually cause a lessening of overall flavor versus lower percentage amounts.

Tough to say what could be improved without a recipe.

Cheesecake Graham Crust is manageable, but plain cheesecake is fucken nasty, especially in high concentrations.
You should aim at 10% total flavor, 12% max.

I sometimes have mixes where the total flavoring is 25%-30%... but NEVER that much of any one flavor -- the most I've used of a single flavor is 16% of INW shisha strawberry, but that's one of the rare ones that doesn't go sideways when used in high levels. Most flavors, if you use over 10% in the mix, are either going to taste really weird and funky, or completely muted.

I had a funky taste to it. It tasted kinda like dry cotton. I'll lower it to 10% and see how it goes.

Start low and work up. You can always add flavor if you need to, but you can't take away.

You need a job writing flavor descriptions for vendors...."The Whole Truth DIY Guide to Flavoring".....
I'd buy it.....:giggle:
Well dirty gym sock below 10%
To taint sweat 10-20%
Above is raging dead hooker yeast infection :p

Serious OP that funk is going to get WORSE and a flavor that will have you considering throwing the bottle and tank out.

Less is more.

If you have one of those electric kettles you can do a forced steep. Just take it to boiling and turn it off put bottles in till cool. (glass bottles)

I think cheesecake is probably one that I'm going to try very soon; I've acquired 3 flavors that are both "clean" (no diketones that I know of), and stand a reasonable chance of adding up to a decent flavor: LorAnn Cheesecake, LorAnn Cream Cheese Icing, and TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust. And I may add a little CAP sweet cream to give it more richness, more layering. That's what seems to make the very best ejuices I've found, layering several similar or complementary flavors together. Kinda like cooking. :D

Don't give up! If at first you don't succeed... ;)
