I kind of thought of him as the "special" puppy that runs into walls a lot for a while... Now its just running into them full speed ahead on purpose. It's like a train wreck, can't look away

Yeah I have to just skip over a lot of his posts to keep what little sanity I have. Like that jibberish today, come on, really.

HiYa Skully my dear friend, I am still above ground so I guess it's good, just so fucking hot. How about you dear
Hot as heck here too. Was 99°F today and I was shoveling, loading into a cart, dumping and raking river rock...ugh. I will be glad when this project is over with that's for sure! Other than that all is quiet on the home front. Still making all kinds of weird juice lol. I did make a nice Grapple out of one of the recipes you sent me...the one with the cotton candy in it...it is AMAZINGLY good! Thanks again!

Words can't describe it. You'd have to see it to believe it, wait I still don't believe it. Glad the grapple worked out for you.

Here is the last time I did it, it starts on page 722...

What you said though, about education... absolutely true. I did graduate high school; and why was that? BECAUSE MY PARENTS GAVE A SHIT AND FUCKING MADE ME! Geez. I've never been to actual college, though I've taken a few college classes -- but it does not require college to know how to spell, and structure complete sentences with correct punctuation; all it truly requires is grammar school! Or failing that, for spelling at least, a good spellcheck program. But learning anything doesn't require school -- all it requires is a) desire to know, b) application of the self to finding the info and learning it -- reading it, practicing it, putting it to use. These days, pretty much anything one wants to learn, can be found online.

I'm thinking that guy's IQ is probably around 80, and when he drinks, possibly 40.

Hello all. Another day in paradise...god I love teaching during summer sessions. Had a young lady show up today in a bikini top and tight shorts, glad my wife doesn't go to my classes :shades:

Was she able to wear it properly?
I do not wish to bring similarly clad Walmart examples into play....:xD:

Oh yeah! It was on properly alright. I had to move from the front of the classroom to the side because I kept getting distracted

It's so funny when these young ladies think that dressing scantily and sitting in the front row might affect their grades. A few years ago there was one young lady who pulled a Sharon Stone move, you know the scene from "Fatal Attraction". I had to ask her to move and she got really pissed off. Sorry young ladies, I'm old enough to be your father and very happily married...however, 20 years ago...:sneaka:

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the shows these young ladies put on, however, I have to be VERY careful how I handle situations like that. I've already had a few issues of being accused of soliciting "favors" for grades which couldn't be any more false! I have to leave my office door open when meeting with female students. And in the age of the cell phone with cameras and video recorders, it makes it very difficult sometimes when dealing with certain subjects that I teach wondering if some student has a cell phone recording me or one of those hidden cameras. I've already seen myself on YouTube a few times, which was fine, but we are warned when we take the job to be careful what we say and who we say it to. It's not like this on a daily basis, but you always have to be on guard.

All I can say is, at least I'm not dealing with idiotic parents anymore.

Now I deal with a few idiotic students that I can't believe passed high school and made it into college.

I'm pleased to know that our son's situation looked more like 1969, though he graduated in 2006. Though it does seem to me that a great many teachers in public school don't really do a very good job of actually *teaching* -- many seem to treat high school kids as if they're already in college, making no attempt to get the kids motivated; just handing out assignments and expecting them to be completed... as if that teenager is already a young adult. And in most cases, it just ain't so. The best classes I ever had were the ones with *discussion* -- *lectures with Q&A* -- some INPUT from the teacher rather than merely page numbers to be read in silence, assignments to be handed in.
