Yes I have a older tip from my collection on it:shades:
No way was I gonna get MTL with that wide bored tip:teehee:
Good to know. :) I'm going to order one from vapor beast later (after some chasing/food shopping). I could get it cheaper from ebay (a few dollars) but with a coupon code its not bad. I know most people order from fast tech but I kinda want a product when I order it. Not a month later. (Yes, guys I am impatient/hubs doesn't trust fast tech). I'm going to skip the goblin mini that is on sale for less than 10 dollars.

It's closest to the hurricane on its third to lowest setting
Second lowest with two holes.
I've still had nothing but problems with the squape, lol. I've bought every version and sold them a week to a month later. Lmao
They vape great once you get them by built right, but it so picky on wicking that I gave up

It's always a different experience isn't it LOL. I've found the Squape R(x) clone from 3F to be one of the most simple builds and wicking I've ever experienced.

It vapes my fav juice, RY4 by OpenSourceVapor, to perfection every single time on the W deck.

I do a simple 26 gauge kanthal micro coil build to about 1.2 ohm and wick with some cotton. Power on mod under 15 watts.

I do mine exactly like pic below... coil head faces down (not up like most RTAs) and the wick is cut short to edge and not stuffed down channel, just lay it in there.

Just my 2c... Fasttech has been a fantastic experience and resource for me in my journey. But I plan my stuff out way in advance :)

See there you go ... Haha

About a year ago, I was fortunate enough to test all the big name mtl tanks for a shop owner and help him decide which to stock.
Taifun2, erlk, Erlp, squape R, aqua2, kf4, rose.... That whole generation.

He could build and wick the squape, but couldn't the Erl and vice versa. Hahahahahahaaha

Ive gone back a few times to retry one, but finally officially accepted defeat. That tank is my Lex Luthor.

Its true.. and there are so many variables (juice, style, taste buds, etc.) you really don't know until you try.

I REALLY wanted to love the Rose but had similar experience with the one I had. Didn't try another as it was a fairly piddly build (ceramic cup, cut coil to height, split wick, etc.) but I loved the look and all the many who had who talked about the awesome flavor. Didn't make the cut for me though so I feel ya.

IMHO, you find 2-3 killers for YOU and you have done well and stock up on those :)

That's where I'm at exactly.
I bounce among the top ones; and, was excited adding the kf5 to that list. Now it's time to either get a second or hold tight for the hurricane junior

Side note.. just got notification that OpenSourceVapor will be closing shop because of Indiana regulations.

Josh and team's RY4 has been my all time fav juice for a couple of years now and the company and philosophy is so unique.

Very sad day.

Sad but true, get ready for more. I'm not the apocalyptic type but I fear more of the small business owners will have to close, hopefully only until all this crazyness settle one way or the other.

I don't know how to say this without it seeming disrespectful, but unless they have any thoughts of being able to re-open, or even sell to another company, do you think they'd be willing to offer you the recipe? I hate to see all these places shutting down, too. It seems JUST WRONG. I know that didn't come out right, I didn't know how else to say it.

This is very much a light tobacco RY4 (i'm not a huge tobacco guy myself) and is there only tobacco, the rest are fruity type mixes, etc.

I'll try out the one you mention above, as I do like a sweet RY4. Thanks!

Huck, that is one of the awesome things about Josh and OpenSourceVapor... since day one they have put their recipes and ingredients on every single juice so that you could know EXACTLY what is and is not in your juice... hence the name OpenSourceVapor... Its a play on a software concept called Open Source, where the code is available for everyone to see and not compiled in a way where it is hidden.

Here is the recipe for RY4:

For 1x flavor 1x sweet,
0.5% Organic caramel flavor
1.5% Organic vanilla flavor
1.25% Organic tobacco absolute (10% solution in VG)
2.5% Organic Rebaudioside-A (sweetener) / VG (120mg/mL)
6 or 10% Ultra-distilled Penta water
Nicotine
Vegetable Glycerin

They use Medicine Flower as their flavor provider, which is a VERY expensive flavor company.

@Brewbear, you saved my Pico atty!!

I hate the RTA deck on this thing and all the fiddle but am loving the eGo One CLR option!

Thanks for hooking a brother up and letting me give it a go. Now I can get some coils and know its a go for me. A good option for my small clearomizer section :)

Has anyone tried the Wotofo Serpent mini?
I believe I remember someone in the previous thread saying they tried it. Don't quote me for sure because my memory is a little hazy sometimes. I think they said the flavor was good but the draw was pretty loose

@ToolmanTexas
The KFMv3 you linked to on fasttech, for $10.xx, I'm assuming that's the ones you own. What came in the package? The pic shows 12 orings but the description just says 1 atomizer.

Yeah, that is the one I have and I don't remember what all came in the pack (I'll look when I get home) but there was a spares bag, just don't remember what exactly was in it.

I usually replace the screws on the deck of some atties from FT also, I have a bag of good Kayfun screws if the ones that come with are janky.

Every tobeco product I have bought has been good quality. They make some of the best clones I have.

I have 4 of the tobeco kayfun mini's from vapenw, no problems with them, and nice not having to wait for weeks to get them from china.

So, is that wavy thing a sort of juice control? I'd be interested but it'll take forever to get it from there. Even with the 24 hour shipping it takes about 8 days to get to me.

I just received my black mini v3.Very impressed so far. I'm too busy to set it up but took a quick tear apart. I'm hoping to clean and set up a coil tonight. I haven't built a coil in a long time.

I was was reading a review on the HurriJr and they were saying that you really need big coils in it and that it's been geared more toward the cloud/flavor chasers.

Genesis-style wick saturation method - copied from the page.

I think no, knowing your vape style.

Ok , I have no idea what the genesis type wicking method is....LOL
I am so new to these, I'll grab a look at a video

@Whiskey, that's a genesis style, rather prone to leaking if you put it on its side. Same idea as Theorem, Haze (I think )....

Texas and CD, it all depends one the air flow. If it has the single/dual air flow ring like it's daddy, then MTL would work, if it has the cyclops air flow ring it can still work for MTL but a looser and warmer draw. At least that's my impression.
