Is all VG Created equal?

...Or some better than others. If so, where from? I'm looking for a vendor that has good VG, good selection of FA and TFA, decent prices and free shipping. I'm getting ready to place a large order. I was hoping to avoid Heartland, as I was put off by their sometimes weird tasting VG last time. I have also found that Bull City only carries liters, not gallons... I'm looking to buy at least a gallon.

It's VG/PG not PG/VG

You do know that VG has an expiration date of around 2 years, but that's only if it's sealed, once you open it, it changes to a few months.
That's why it's better to buy a few smaller containers instead of a gallon.

No, not all VG are the same and have different purity levels, but any USP/EP should be good enough.
A serious manufacturer/supplier provides MSDS for each batch.

I've been using the same 1 gal of VG for like a year at room temp. without any issues at all.
I just refill a couple of 250ml squeeze bottles every so often as I'm only using 30% VG.
But my gal. of PG doesn't last that long before going empty:D.

And your choices of VG being made with are: Soy, Palm, or Coconut sourced.
Palm & Coconut are my preference.

Yep, no change in my opened gal. of Essential Depot VG, after 1-1/2 yrs. (room temp)

It's hard to beat the deals they have on VG at ED. I got 2 gallons(palm derived) for $35 shipped.

Thanks to all for your input. I think than I'm going to go with essential depot for my VG. From what I have gathered, I believe that all of their product is coconut/palm based unless specifically stated soy based?

Short answer, IMO... No. But I haven't really came across a terrible one either.

So the consensus is that Essential Depot puts out good VG?

I've been using for several years now and have always been happy with it. I buy it through Amazon since I have a Prime and it arrives in two days.

But, I was reading through some of the reviews on there and as expected there were several really bad reviews. But that was a very small percentage. I know you can't please all of the people all of the time, right.

I've been using their PG also and have been happy with that as well.

Bad batches can happen when you are doing that kind of volume.
Since they are sealed most likely when they get them, unless they rebottle and reseal it is next to impossible to test quality.

I once was in a pinch and got the Humco stuff from wal mart. Never again.... I'll stick with ED or other reputable places. It wasn't terrible, just seemed off and everything tasted different. All I know is I didn't like it.

It's decent quality but their customer service is practically non-existent and for that reason alone, I won't be using them in the future.

Really? My very first order from them arrived smashed and a leaky mess, and when I called them they immediately sent out a new shipment (I sent photos)! Perhaps it's changed (my experience was over two years ago).

I asked them a couple of simple questions and despite multiple attempts, have never gotten any of them answered. I didn't actually have a product issue. I just wanted some information on the products I had purchased. When a company chooses to ignore rather than address, that doesn't sit too well with me.

I always use RTS Vapes VG, its made from coconuts and does NOT mute flavorings in the slightest. Last I bought was 19.99 a gallon and is worth more than that. BEST I have ever used

I've just always bought my ED VG and PG in liter bottles from Amazon since I pay for prime. I get it two days, well packed and no issues after several years and many liters.

Just thinking out loud here, I'm sure the ED is/was a very small mom & pop operation. Mostly selling to health food stores and such. Then DIY took a hold and WHAM! They are probably still reeling from the onslaught of the DIY and maybe even the pro makers. Probably riding the gravy train and not sure how to handle it all.

I only buy my juice supplies from RTS Vapes. I have never had an issue with anything I have bought from them.

I just went to the RTS website and the ED website. I found that ED sources their VG from soy and RTS sources from palm. So soy based products are typically from a US source (American farmers) whereas palm based products are typically from a 3rd world country such as Indonesia and Malaysia.

I know that there is a very big push to get the big fast food chains to break away from palm oil due to the deforestation for the palm plantations.

Has anyone found that there is a difference between palm or soy based VGs?
