My e-juice(cream tobacco)changed its smell...pray for expert to help me!!!!

I'm come from taiwan.I started to make e-juice by myself around a month ago.

I add some FA royal /FA Layton with TFA bavarian cream / FA custard etc... to make a creamy tobacco flavor
th
And it smell & vape good for around a weeks after I mixed it and my friends buyed 2 bottles of that.

But it happened today!!!!

My friends bring them back and said it smell stranged!! its smell is not what I want

I haved quested my friend how thay used and deposit my e-juice and I didn't find any problem.

Just like deposit in a shade place avoid sunshine or take e-juice which has loaded in atomizer back to bottle.

They didn't do anything which maybe destroy the flavor.

I only can guess about two things which could bring such like this trouble.

One is I didn't add Vanillin which can regularize the tobacco's smell.

Another is bavarian cream and cheesecake etc... after about two weeks aging it changed to be too strong

I have lower the percent of the creamy flavor and lift the tobacco flavor up.

Is anyone have good advice?

Is this the first time this recipe has changed like this after Aging???? With only 1 month of DIY, I doubt you have had time to know what your juices do when stored. I find tobacco juices do tend to change a bit after aging. I like strong tobaccos so I age my juices for at least 2 weeks on a dark shelf. Some longer. I only steep and vape, NEW recipes.

Yes they can change after steeping for awhile. Not always for the better. But it sounds like you are the right path, keep experimenting with percentages, you'll find what works for that recipe. If it tasted good initially, then I doubt if there is anything wrong with the flavors themselves.

I don't have FA Royal. However, 8% seems to me pretty high for a FA flavor. I think 3-4% would be plenty.

I do have a mix that I'm still working on, that has several FA tobaccos in it. That mix needs to steep at least a week, in order to develop the proper flavor, including the tobaccos.

Extremely high for a mix!

You're going to have to take some time to play around with percentages and let your mixes age a little. I'd start that royal in a mix around 2%.

If you want to speed up the aging process with those flavors, I'd make small 10ml mixes and pop them in something like a crockpot for 4 hours (on low). That'll give you a much better idea of how they will taste in a month!

Agreed, 8% is too high for FA tobacco flavors. I use almost all their flavors at 2% or less. Only one or 2 flavors above that.

I personally don't think Bavarian Cream, FA Custard, or Cheesecake belong in tobacco mixes.
And if I was trying to use those I'd keep them at 0.5% max for each.

FA Custard has a hint of lemon which may clash with Tobaccos IMO.

And I wouldn't use any sweetener either because of the "diet pop" aftertaste.

Adding a small amount of FA Vanilla Classic, or French Vanilla might work better.
Use 0.5% FA Marshmallow for a little sweetness & fluff.
0.5-1% AP is OK for adding some nuttiness.
Try to keep it simple as possible to start with

Thanks everybody!!!!

I would try to lower the percentage today and make it steep for longer time.

But I still think royal can work at a higher percentage haha.it has a excellent smell,I prefer to use it than other tobacco flavor.

But listen to older's advicr is better than do it on myself.

I'll try two way to make the smell back to the orginal what I want!!!!!

When I used it in 8% and mixed.it bring me a spicy taste.and I'm really love it blend with creamy flavor haha

but according to the reply of the article,I hope that the change of the taste and smell only caused I add some wrong flavor that clash the truly Royal's taste .

Not I'm fall in love with a blend taste which hasn't steeped yet.haha

If you have ever tasted Diet Pepsi or Diet Coke, it has a funny taste after drinking.
This is the taste I get from using Sweetener, but it's not bad using only 1-3 drops.
This is why I like to use 0.5% FA Marshmallow and 0.5% FA Meringue, no bad aftertaste.

And flavor "clash" just means 2 or 3 flavors that don't go too well together.
Like Lemon and Tobacco, because FA Custard has a bit of lemon taste.

Bavarian Cream needs a long steep and will change to less bitter.
Some Tobaccos also need a long steep to get better, or worse if using too much.

Sorry I forget you're from Taiwan, but you write pretty good English.
