So I have these SS clapton coils from advanced vape supply run duals that ohm out around .34-.35 ohm in griffen 22mm, griffen 25mm, and Boreas- with both decks. It's set on temp control 420F at 50w, 75w preheat, Hard 7.1 on slider at .25 secs. For each tank setup profile. When I first screw the tanks in and it asks me if its a new coil setup I hit +. An vapes likes its supposed to. But if I set it down for a bit it have noticeable power loss because I can tell the warm and vape production is off. i run in vw/ww mode its fine. I knownits not a connection problem in all three tanks. I took them all apart cleaned the contacts, 510 connector and made sure 510 screw was firm in place.

The mode is a Lost Vape Efusion DNA 200 running latest firmware. With .csv file for 316L Elite and the .csv file i made on steam engine for the correct center guage and wrap guage 316L claptons I got from Advanced Vape Supply.

Help me!!!!!

I've never been overly fond of the TC results I get when using SS316L on my DNA200 mods (saw tooth TC graph). Just the other day I revisited SS316L and was messing around with it in the device monitor and found I was getting better results using a SS304 curve on it. (I posted graphs in the VT133 thread). Give that a try and see if it helps.

PS I get the best TC results using SS430 in my DNA200 mods - it's basically all I ever use now.

Cheers,
Steve

I'm utilizing the Device Monitor in Escribe, in order to tweak the settings. The goal is to bring up the heat as quick as possible to set temperature, and then to keep it in that temperature range as close as possible.

Yea but I'd like to be able to just pick it up and use it without unscrewing it after i set it down and it goes to sleep . Funny thing is kanthal with ni200 wrapped Claptons and fused Clapton's with ni200 wrap never give me this problem. But straight ni200 coils give the same problem. Good few hits warm thick vape, set it down for a few mins and then weak cold aniemic vape next. But Ive heard dna boards only go as low as .00096 on TCR adjustment and if you set it to .001 it might help. Also just the regular 316L .csv seems to work a bit better some reason.

Just a DNA noob's opinion here but...

That sure sounds like the res "refinement" being too aggressive.
Do your displayed ohms remain the same? If they've dropped by just a few hundredths... that's your answer and you'll need to use the res lock with that/those atty(s).

Side note... a quarter second of pre-heat doesn't sound like enough. Opinions anyone?

Locked the ohms always

That defeats a major purpose of the DNA's design.
It's what the "heartbeat" does .

When it's needed... lock the ohms (that's almost always connection issues, wonky atty).

Try again... room temp etc., unlocked res. See what happens.

I'm running the same exact coil as you in my Boreas on my Vt133. I'm using Wings 316 profile. It's ohming out at .24, resistance is unlocked and I have preheat set to 9 for 1 second. On the mod I'm at 85 watts and 515f. She vapes like a dream.

Whetr can i get Wings 316L profile
I'm just using the one I downloaded from steam engine. Like I said before, I recently was messing around with 316L and in the device monitor of Escribe was getting a better (smoother) TC graph using a SS304 curve I also got from steam engine. It has a slightly higher TCR so it may run a few degrees hot doing that. In the end I prefer SS430 because it has ~50% higher TCR than 316 or 317. Higher TCR, more resistance change, easier for the mod to be more accurate.
